What Card? 9 Disks

Thread originally posted on the Aeclectic Tarot Forum on 16 Apr 2003, and now archived in the Forum Library.

Lady Mary  16 Apr 2003
Who's that lady?

As a matter of fact, Jimmy had danced with many girls; true, it was usually when there was no other man left to "do duty"; but still he had done it. Why then should he feel such distressing hesitation about placing his arm around the waist of this brown-eyed Diana? Try as he would he could not find words to break the silence that had fallen between them. She was so imposing; so self-controlled. It really seemed to Jimmy that she should be the one to ask him to dance. As a matter of fact, that was just what happened; and after the dance she suggested that they sit in the garden; and in the garden, with the moonlight.

HIgh Priestess?

I'm guessing this one cuz of 'Diana' and 'moonlight' and the whole self-control thing...

Belladonna  16 Apr 2003
I'm thinking Queen of Cups, the seductrix?

Royal Cat  16 Apr 2003
Queen of Wands?

Belladonna  16 Apr 2003
Wait, wait! Do I get a second guess? Ignore me if I'm overstepping here, but now I'm thinking Queen of Swords because of her control over the communication and the difficulty with approaching her.

Princess of Wands

hehe...i had thought the Queen of Swords too...though Belladonna should get it if it's right :D

Moongold  16 Apr 2003

Moongold

Moongold  16 Apr 2003
My second guess the Empress

Belladonna  16 Apr 2003
Queen of Pentacles?

Kiama  16 Apr 2003
Just a note, in case peple didn't realise it:

It'll be better if in this 'Round' we do not use the same card more than once.

When we exhaust all the cards in this 'round', we'll start another thread and begin all over again, so different people can have a go at 'being' a different card, and thus we get 'second opinions' on each card!

is anyone willing to tally which cards were used already? i wasn't, which is why i just pulled a card to describe...

Nine of Pentacles is the answer.
I like this card. A lady in her garden, enjoying herself, after years of hard work, and it was her who's done all the work, and finally she's got herself a lover. Let's hope she'll be very happy with Jimmy - at least this one night in her garden while the moon looks down at them.

It's fullmoon now!

It's your turn, Moongold!
