Thought of some of the other given answers first, so the 10 of swords wasn't my first guess. Got to it only by eliminating the other answers. Nice interp. of the card though. I guess I've thought similar things about it, just not quite in those terms. :) Ok, I guess it is time for my riddle... I am what puts pen to paper and behind procreation. By me, great empires and industries have come into being. I am found in obsession, and have driven men to madness. I am found too in the poet's heart. Who am I?

Wow, I'm either really good at this or really bad at this. My money is on really bad! ;) I was just thinking about the part about "speaking softly when I am near". That is a play on words dealing with the RW card image, not so much with card meaning. I'm not sure how well it is known outside the U.S. Another clue.... I am what you crave in your morning coffee. And even though I am pure, I can corrupt absolutely. Kings and presidents are willing to sell their souls to keep me. I illuminate cities' nights, and reduce mighty forests to ashes. I need to head off to bed soon. I'll check a few more times before though! :)

The Ace of Wands it is. I'll even give you the ten points for your hard work! In the Victoria Regina, the Ace of Wands is a fountain pen just about to start writing. It is flame of inspiration that puts that pen onto the page. I love that image, it is so powerful! This was the ace that started opening the meaning of aces for me. The play on words was "talk softly and carry a big stick" Well, the RW AofW is a pretty big stick! LOL What you crave in your coffee- that jolt of energy to get you going. And while it is the pure expression of power and energy, we know that absolute power corrupts absolutely. The many of the other clues were pointing towards the need for power or the drive to succeed. I was surprised that it took so long to get this one. Sorry about that! May be I see the card differently than most people?

That was great! I was trying to figure out what card is inspiration, what card is the muse... Yes the raw creative power of the Ace of Wands makes total sense.. I was on the wrong track. All I could think of was Aphrodite!

P.s. Thanks Riversea, now that you explain it it makes sense. I didn't know about the fountain pen , but the rest, I should have been more imaginative in my working out !! very very good. I love the game, It was a great idea Kiama, it is still going strong. I am learning heaps. Dark Eyes
