"My suggestions and recommendations are inconsistent as they relate entirely to the person in question, and not upon my own interests or preferences.
All the while I am performing my task; the goal a simple one but, the delicate care needed to achieve it, unimaginably difficult."

Dark Electric was straight in there with the goods… it was indeed Temperance, an interesting and less observed member of the Major Arcana than most.
I see this card as reminding us all to balance the elements in our lives. Sometimes it may be reminding us to think of others more often, while other times it may be reminding us that we need to think of ourselves once in a while (ok it’ll probably never need to remind me that!). The card reminds us to embrace all elements (the simple goal) and take care to balance them as best we can (the hard part). In the picture her task is one of balance – one foot on land – the other in water; her wings represent her allegiance with the air – and a fiery sun shines behind her. Her task is represented by the by pouring water from one vessel to another, trying to achieve the perfect balance between the two; a near impossible task, as few things stay balanced for long: other conditions will always come into play (rainfall, evaporation etc.), meaning that she will constantly have to re-evaluate.
Your go Dark Electric!
And if someone gets it who’s won before – it’d be a really nice gesture to give you go to Demonesse – because she never did get the turn that was rightfully hers a while ago! :)
Incidentally Temperance was the 34th card that we’ve done. I’ve tallied all those done so far, and can post them up if it’s of help?
I know that the current rule is to not repeat cards – although I think it maybe just as fun (especially as new people are coming in) to just allow people to do whatever card they wish (so that it can always be any card – giving our brains no rest bite) and see how long it does actually take until all 78 cards get used (if they ever do – it’d be interesting to see if there are certain cards that never occur to anyone to try).
Anyway – I love this game and hope it keeps going – it’s such a fun way to keep going through the deck, revising the cards, testing your knowledge and getting insights from others! Well done Kiama for making this such a great exercise!
