Wow, Moongold. That is beautiful. It has a lot of "facets?" so I have to absorb it a little first, and then I will post a guess. That is a great bit of poetry there! JOAN
P.S. I hope I wasn't being irritating, pestering you for a clue yesterday! Oh- and it was worth the wait! ;)

Wow, 2 of Wands, that is so close I am going to give it to you :)
Thse are so ambiguous that I always have two choices and 9 Pentacles was one.
Th initial image was MOON
The imagery? Silence, vacuum, piercing light of a star, kiss of the sun........it is quite subjective this one which is why I have the stand by.
You've got great visualizing 2W! It could well be that lovely, voluptuous woman strolling in her garden.
So Two Wands wins . What di you think of the poem?

hehehe, I take my guess back.... beautifully written Moongold .... I guessed a planet .... but the wrong one, LOL, I was thinking the time and water + the distant star shining on it, was the world. What threw me was the bit about my creatures ... ROFL

Hi Moongold,
Thanks for the compliment - and it's always nice to win! ONly now I've got to go and find a quote. Seems my previous one for the Eight of Swords was a little too personal - but I enjoyed doing it.
I liked the poem you chose, although it took time for me to decide that. At first I wasn't sure what to make of it. My first guess: Four of Swords, was really my attempt to make some sense of it. When I read it again today, I got a much beter sense of the imagery and feeling of the poem. It was then that I began to think more visually and the Nine of Pentacles immediately sprang to mind.
I love doing this, it's the ultimate way to revise and enjoy the cards!
I'll post a new cryptic card clue soon!
