Missing card: 2 Swords

Hi everyone, may as well post a reading now, I couldn't sleep!! :joke:
Hi moongold,
you have certainly gained an insight into vocabulary as a result of your long discussions and your dad being an english teacher. I wish I had your flair for words. :D

I will try to keep the reading short this time...
It goes like this

My querent was concerned because her and her husband lived next door to a couple who were a bit younger than them. They became friends and , over a period of time, it became noticeable to her that her husband got on very well with the young woman next door. Fortunately, before her fears got the better of her, the young couple moved state, to try and start a new life in a farming type community.
They kept in touch by an occasional letter, but seemed to be becoming more distant as time went by, which the querent was quite comfortable with.
Recently though, a letter came, announcing their return. They werent happy with their new lifestyle, missed the social life of the suburb they used to live in and had put a deposit on a house in the same town again. But... they needed to stay somewhere for 4 weeks until contracts were signed, could the querent and husband please accomodate them for this short time.
Obviously, my querent was horrified. Her question was "what should I do"

I used the spread card 1.... what's on my mind (inside me)
card 2.... my attitude to the outside world
card 3.... what action should I take
Here was the reading....
The first card .... fears and nightmares, but the fears were really unfounded and brought on simply by her mistrust of her husband, when in fact he had done nothing wrong as yet !
The second card.... her attitude to the outside world was one of anger, she had almost become manic depressive over something that hadn't happened, and may never, probably wouldn't given that she had been happily married for 12 years.
Her own illusions had turned her into an untrusting, snivelling, frothing at the mouth , wild dog. Yes, the moon had played tricks on her along with her own insecurities indicated by the 9 of swords. She was taking her frustration and anger out on the world, barely getting through the days.
My advice to her, before even looking at the third card was.... Perhaps you would be best to air your concerns with your husband. If you have been happily married for 12 years, then you must give him some credit for the husband he is. Give him the benefit of the doubt and a chance to tell his side of the story, and your fears may dissipate. You may find out in fact that he feels quite differently from what you have talked yourself into thinking.
And now........... the third card for your perusal is..........
I am going to become first person for this

I am the third card, I am in the action position.
My advice to you dear querent is this..........
"take no action"
What or who am I ???????? }) Dark Eyes

p.s. I guess I have trouble with short readings........ :)

Could it be two/swords? (keeping a lid on emotions)

bec  08 May 2003
a take no action card could be a 5cups.
I know it is the traditional "crying over spilled milk card" - but he is not doing anything right.

Or it could be strength, even you didnt spill it out, stength calls for inner strength and patience rather than raw muscles and action.

Can I have both ?

5cups or Strength

Glad I could bring something new to the dreaded 10swords

Gloriaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !!! :(

Now I really am giving up.
Oh Moongold, I thought that clue would have ben tricky, but Not for Gllllloria, she is too good. I think I will throw in the towel as far as clues go, I might leave two missing cards next time (frown), Poor sad little ol me, (wail)
I will have to get out my old poetry books, my old shakespear books, my old music books and find some clues that nobody will ever guess. I am going to get tough with you all now, that's really it. No more mrs nive guy for you lot... Hmmmmm?
Time to spread my wings and really show you how to play this game... I promise, I will.....?
Gloria, I give you permission to have your go now, You clever cheeky lady, but I will be back, Oh yes I will be back!
Over to you Gloria, and well done, you did such a good job of solving my clue, you really had to think I bet !! hehehehehe :joke:
As you can see, I found the emoticon page ! I love them hahahahahahahahaha
waiting for your puzzle Gloria, go girl !!

Dark Eyes  08 May 2003
i can see how you all got the other cards out of the reading too, I actually thought if I was guessing, that the hanged man or the four of swords would be some of my guesses too. but, the two of swords, sitting on the fence, not making a move either way but waiting till one can see a bit clearer before acting, the card of compromise and pateince. But why couldn't you all have posted your guesses before Gloria.
You should have seen my next clue, it was going to be a beauty Moongold. I will save it for another time. hehehehe
Well done all, but Gloria it's your turn now.

Moongold  08 May 2003
Dark Eyes,

I wasn't here when you posted but I would have said 2 Swords as well.

Maybe you are not naturally tricky like the rest of us :joke: But we can all become so.

Keep trying. You keep winning goes so you're good at guessing others' puzzles.

I look forward to your next post. And now for Gloria......
