Missing card: 6 Wands

Often when I read, peculiar details expand out of proportion to indicate an answer to the reading at hand, so posting a past reading may not be very useful to try to ascertain the missing card, so decided to throw a few cards for a reading to post... here it is:
  • Question/focus:

    If I were to move to either Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal, ... indicate ... whatever ! Cards drawn
  • (placed sequentially geographically, despite the verbal order):

    Vancouver: mysterium ;
    Toronto: Two Cups (reversed);
    Montreal: Nine Wands.

    (additional three cards also drawn - of which one indicated that none of these was really the best choice, but possibly, rather, another city - though this is not really relevant for this reading)
My reading of it (moving, as the Sun, in a westerly direction):
  • Montreal: Nine Wands
Would require an enormous amount of energy, patience and gentle perseverence to allow the offerings of Montreal to come to fruition... possibly, then, only choose if the querent has resources to last the distance;
  • Toronto: Two Cups
  • (reversed)
The two of cups brings to mind that each part is in its right location - and that the querent may drench his or her thirst thereby. Reversed, as it is, it may also show that though the drinking of its gifts may take place, weakenings may occur un-noted. A card which indicates that indeed Toronto may provide an easy to be in place for the querent. If chosen, however, vigilance must be maintained, and continued severity of work also persued - despite the apparent ease of gifts coming one's way. A good indication, with, nonethelesss, reservations for the lazy...
  • Vancouver: mysterium
A harmonius card, and ease of living, though also a sense that what the querent brings may be too strong or forceful for the habits of the place. Vancouver appears to be a place where one very much flows from task to task, and the individual which brings with him or her intimations of success may strain the way things work. A happy suggestion, if the querent is willing to flow along and not seek to make his or her mark.
___________
I should note that I have never visited any of those cities. For the reading, I used a woodcut deck (Tarot Classic/Schaffhouse), and that no Majors turned up in those three cards (first clue). I'll give a second clue if it proves too confusing...

Enjoy

its a six.
harmony tell me its a 6. the fire in the wands can give the strains you mention, so if he can temper that he'll be fine there.
so my guess is 6 wands, if its correct, someone else please take over coz i am away on vacation and wont be able to do the reading and post it.

Excellent...

do you have the time to briefly post and PM someone your answer?

Kaz  17 May 2003
no i guess not, i am off to training in 15 minutes and i wont come home before i get back from swiss.
so if you like you can do another reading, or just tell someone to do one.
otherwise you have to wait til i am in swiss and i can use diana's pc.

Oh well... enjoy your trip!

How about giving Gloria the batton?

(throws thread batton to the other side of the world to land into Gloria's outstretched hand)

...good catch!

allibee  20 May 2003
Well, there seems to be no Kaz and no Gloria to take up the challenge.
I'm afraid on Friday I started a small webdesign project for my Mum's birthday tomorrow, but it has snowballed into a massive website so I'm unable to take the baton .... any volunteers???

jmd, isnt this posted in the wrong thread? i'd say these might be literature clues, but not the missing card.........

jmd  21 May 2003
You are certainly correct Kaz!

In my enthusiasm to keep the game going, I posted without double checking which game it was...

as it was your turn anyway, please pick it up!

bec  25 May 2003
waiting eagerly for Kaz to take the baton in hand :P and just bumping the thread for convenience.

Kaz  25 May 2003
oops, i am sorry, i will do the next one.
though you will have to wait til tomorrow

jmd  31 May 2003
... is tomorrow here soon ;) ?

allibee  31 May 2003
The one trouble with this game is, it is very time consuming for the person setting the poser .... in my experience anyway.

If ANYBODY wants to take up the baton and provide the next mystery PLEASE DO.....

A.
