Look I can make the time, so will carry on if that is okay.
Am doing this in a kind of story form, I hope that's acceptable. Anyhow here goes,
He is a workaholic, in his late fifties. He is due to attend a party given in his honour for securing a top contract for his firm. He is being congratulated and praised by his boss and colleagues alike. Victory and recognition are his at the moment, but how long will he be able to keep this up. He knows that this position of stature isn’t permanent he will be under constant pressure to stay on top. (Six of Wands)
He knows he has to get off this treadmill. His working life has gone full circle. He should retire while he’s ahead. After all, he’s not getting any younger, and competing with younger colleagues is taking its toll. (The World)
He has a loving and devoted wife, who doesn’t see enough of him. She has been there for him throughout the ups and downs of his career.
He now has to make a choice. To carry on with the constant pressure of a much loved job, or to retire while he’s ahead, and spend quality time with his long-suffering wife. (????????)
