I'll try a different approach:Four curves, points at which the buds do unfurl, and amidst the central dual almond germs a rose of blue delight...My thoughts, stable as they are, may for others appear dry and dead...

Its gotta be what Kazz said.
Four curves, double almond, blue flower. The only detail that gives me to pause, is "points at which their buds do unfurl"
Four cries out to be a four, and the curves cry out to be swords, and the dual center almond cries out to be the four of swords. The very phallic central blue rose clinches the deal.
But would you be so obvious jmd? Or did you mean perhaps the four curves of the vines, defining the space around Eight Cups? The center is not quite a double almond, but a double oval. The center flower is fully-open with a glaring red center, unlike all the other, half-closed (still un-furling) blue flowers on this card.
On the two of swords, one might count many more curves than two as well, depending upon how you approach geometry...

ahhh ... so this is a specific deck we are talking about .... NOW I understand, LOL, but not knowing the deck.... I have no idea :O)
Stab in the dark:
I was thinking it was a Wand due to the bit about the buds, and then I thought about ideas, could still be a wand ... then I thought about others seeing the idea as stale, could be a reversal...
But like I said, just groping in the dark, LOL

Yes, alibee, not exactly a specific specific deck, but a Marseilles type deck. I am supposing that any Marseilles deck would have approximately the same image, although the coloring might vary. (Mine is the Camoin)

Between the time-zone differences, and my last 24 hours, I didn't get a chance to check...
but, yes,Kazz is correct, the four of Swords it is! The colours of the flowers are various on different woodcuts. The Schaffhouse one tends more to the bluish.
Though not quite 'almond', the vesica type shapes are at times, and in the esoteric tradition, described as 'almond'-like. I thought that if I mentioned the vesica it would be just too obvious - but it also looks like I didn't make it sufficiently veiled (but then again, is the veiling the exercise?)
...anyhow, over to you Kazz, and thanks for everyone's patience :)

hehehe ... not to me LOL, I know nothing about the esoteric side.... or the deck. So it was a triumph in veiling, jmd ... for those that have no knowledge of these things, anway :O)
We look forward to your teaser Kazz
