King of Wands?

Two of Wands  28 May 2003
The Devil?

allibee  28 May 2003
The Devil is sort of going along the right lines... think of a minor devil though... who would oppose Termperance and all that she stands for?

9 of Cups! We're gonna party like it's your birthday!

:( sorry in a bit of a silly mood!

DarkElectric  28 May 2003
Hmmm, the opposite of Temperance? Why that would be profligate debauchery.

King of Cups? (There is that aspect to him...)

allibee  28 May 2003
*allibee shakes Two of Wands backwards and forwards by her shoulders grating her teeth saying: not cups, not, cups, not cups....* LOL :O)

Totally NOT 9 Cups!

Allison:O)

Maybe you're all missing the link, LOL

Homework:

Go and work out what ELSE Temperance stands for, and then write it on the blackboard 100 times....

LOL

Put that party away, guys :O)

5 of swords?

DarkElectric  28 May 2003
Bloody Hell, I'm knackered too. THE MAGICIAN??????????

mags@Treadwells  28 May 2003
So Temperance also means the blending of opposites, I always think of that 1st with this Saggi card - WHO knows ANY Saggis here who LOVE moderation (yeah, right). So I thought maybe the 5Swords likes really rubbing your nose in it when you're down etcetc Divide and conquer....ohhhhhh - I think I've just worked out which one it is....ahhhh oh DAMMMIT this is hard if you re not prychic -- Whee! New word! (*psychic*)

allibee  28 May 2003
Yayyyyy, it is the 5 Swords

A hollow victory indeed for the likes of Scarlett O Hara and Rhett Butler, both working for their own ends... more than a little self interest going on.
Temperance offers compromise and the ability to work together... not so the 5 Swords. Many people see the card as defeat, which to a certain extent it may be.. but there is a lot more to it. It's about losing your moral compass sometimes too, winning the battle to lose the war.
The cups reference was alluding to the RWS piccy too, not just about being a bit horrid

Over to you mags
