OK folks, this might be a little different: from On lies, secrets and silence by Adrienne Rich: be careful.........
In popular culture, The Godfather is of interest here. Again and again it shows men who, whilst ruling patriarchal famlies with the most benign authority toward their own women and children, are capable at the same time of ruthless intimidation and murder; the efficiency of their violent operations depends an artificial and theoretucal wall between fatherhood and Godfatherhood, When "business' is discussed at the family table, the Family is already in trouble. Women, with their tendency to ask uncomfortable questions and make uncomfortable connections are to be excluded from all decision making, as the final shot somewhat heavily portrays.......those women who hover at the edge of things, in doorways while the men reminisce about the acts of resistance...........
Have fun. I am going to sleep now.

King of Swords is my first guess, though I have another guess which I won't say yet.

Well Gloria,
You got it. Queen of Swords. That aspect of Queen Swords which is both intelligent, mature and sorrowful.
A good example is the Diane Keating character in the GodFather. I thought the intial emphasis might well go to the men.
In almost all of these there is some ambiguity. In this case I thought an additional clue might be the book itself, It's a feminist text.
Over to you, Gloria :)
