This was not easy for me to do, I think because I did not have an actual person's energy to draw from.....so I hope you all get this....
Jane does hair in a chain salon, she is thinking of going out on her own.
Past: 8-Strength: 'you go girl!' In high school, everyone came to you to do thier hair & make-up. You have a gift for it. It became your dream. This enocuraged you to work towards making it your profession. You had to work hard to get through cosmotology school, but your ambitions got you through & you graduated top of your class.
Present: 7 of Cups: 'chasing the dream' The ego boost in the past has given you ideas of grandure, you're thinking- HOLLYWOOD; beautician to the stars. Yet you are stuck in Oaklahoma, you love your family & would miss them very much....but your dream!!!
Future: ??????: 'it's now or never' The time is right for you to make your move, this is the plan you created & the direction towards your goal.
well......I hope it's easier for you trying to guess than it was for me trying to make it up......
OT from last game---
BTW-FireM, that little Sam I am doggie is a Jack Russell Terrior named Samantha, she came with the name.....i added the I AM to make it less peopleish.....I have other names for her too, based on her behaviors.....like DOG! = Digs Out Garbage

Wheel of Fortune?
(there are other cards which come to mind with the 'now or never', but I thought I should first try a Major Arcana)
:)

I know we tend to be on the same wave-length at times....lol
Diana....there's that 8 again........
was that hard or easy?.....lots of lookers but just 2 guesses & it be right!......I don't know if I could explain my clue, too much trouble in trying to 'read it'.....perhaps Diana could tell WHY? she thought it was......the 8 of Wands.....

If it had been a Major, I would have chosen Judgement.
I decided to go for a minor.
Batons (wands for you people) are the Fire element - Action, Activity, Business.
One cannot dilly-dally with an eight. You either do or you don't. And normally with a Baton, you "do". Hard not to - because what else are you going to do with all that energy? End up with a nervous breakdown if you keep it inside. Or you could start running amok.
Also, although I never use my Rider Waite decks anymore, I do remember some of the pictures, and I remember that the 8 of Wands was a very "busy" card...... So I thought that you're probably using a RW based interpretation, and that re-inforced my idea.
Now tell me the rules (I'm not quite sure of them). Am I supposed to set up a new thread? Can anyone clue me in to the details of what I'm supposed to do?

The sticky won't tell Diana the rules of this game.
Diana, the idea is just to post a reading, I think it is usually just three cards, and then to leave one card a mystery. That's all :)

I'm supposed to do a new thread. But I'm finding it hard to do one because of some of the Rider Waite meanings that I don't follow when I do readings. I reckon it'll become a nice fine mess when you've got a picture in your mind of a guy prentending to be dead on a beach, and my idea is of a glorious crowning to an affair because 10 Swords is just a perfect place to rest for the mind. (That is just one example).
I think I should perhaps give up this thread to someone else....
Or should I just go ahead and if no-one guesses, let's say, after 15 guesses, I tell you what it is and why......

not everyone has a RW/type deck, as long as you express where the reading comes from....well....that's part of the game....I did not use RW....I used Legends, simular, yet some pronounced differences (ie the element swap between Sw & Wd).....you still got it.....

LOL!
And the winner is: Minderwiz!
I'll start up a thread tomorrow. Right now I have to concentrate on the football (soccer) match between France and Cameroon. Still 0-0, but I doubt it'll stay like that.....

Well,
I thought I'd have a go at winning Diana's competition before she set the clues and it seems I have LOL
I will now write out one hundred times I must not try and guess in advance - otherwise I might be accused of not taking threads seriously :)

Minderwiz: Did you see my Experiment no. 4 in the Reading Exchange? Well, you have pushed this even further! You don't even wait for the reading before giving feedback!
A truly amazing clairvoyant...... (Still 0-0 - Can you tell me who will win the match, please?).

Well on current form it's quite possible that all the Cameroon team will drop dead on the pitch - however France may still not be able to score, if their form of the last world cup is anything to go by.
Secondly if Barthez is in goal even a completely dead Cameroon team are likely to score (If his form at Manchester United is anything to go by).
Final result Cameroon 1 France 0
Before anybody reports this post for bad taste let me quickly add that Marc Foe played for Manchester City, a team not far away from us and he was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. Football has suffered a great tragedy and lost a great ambassador for the game.

May he rest in peace.........
The Death card is quite appropriate here.
(Is this thread getting slightly off-topic?)

Yes its definitely getting off topic and you/we must move it to either Chat or possibly continue it via PM. There are rules and guidelines which we must follow.
BTW Is the match over and what's the score??
And no more posts in Fun - Never!!!
