Missing Card: V THe Heirophant

The story between 2 families who are just getting to know each other.

First family: tower
In a strike of lightning they have come to realize that if they want to meet people they will have to blow the lid and get out of house. Taking a risk and show them selves, to this family this is a big tower to set on fire as they are very much inwards and being them selves.

Second family: 9 wands
They are foreighnors, insecure of how to make friendsships with the countrymen they have chosen to live among. putting them selves in a bird cage they can watch others, neighbours live their lives but not getting involved. The insecurity of being the "strangers"

The 2 family meet, both having taken some of their barricades down and it is prooving to become a beautiful friendship between neighbours.

The situation between them: yours to guess..
Bringing all kind of myths and heresays to the ground, they find that both families are equal "strangers". Nothing scary about seeking new friends, countrymen or not, language and culture barricades can be taught, learned and accepted. Both families needed to feel that they belongs where they live, making connection and spending time together brought all the barricades to fall naturally, no tower or wand can be that strong so it can keep people apart that are in need of others to talk to.

What card is missing? (maybe it will be good sense to mention that the card don't always "mean" this :P )

Kaz  19 Jun 2003

bec  19 Jun 2003
could be judgement, yes, but, it is not

Kaz  19 Jun 2003
i now give up.
too bad, coz i would have done a 3 cardthrow on my dentist visit tomorrow :-P

firemaiden  19 Jun 2003
Why not three of cups?

or it could also be Temperance, i.e. as Alchemy -- mixing, mingling of families...

bec  20 Jun 2003
nope not 3 cups, nor temperance. sorry

what you are looking for is a bit more mundane than temperance

jmd  20 Jun 2003
VI the Lovers ?

As a bringing of two families?

firemaiden  20 Jun 2003
or the five of wands? people getting together to play...

bec  20 Jun 2003
Lovers and 5wands are both good guesses, but not the missing card

firemaiden  20 Jun 2003
four of wands?
-- or the Tower -- breaking down of barriers?

bec  20 Jun 2003
Not 4 wands, Tower is good guess but no.

I begin to wonder if my interpret of the card in this situation have been very weird (????)

Kaz  20 Jun 2003
how about a hint?

jmd  20 Jun 2003
'Bringing all kind of myths and heresays to the ground'

V the Pope/Hierophant ?

bec  21 Jun 2003
jmd has got it, picked up on the very first and very important clue and nailed it - it was indeed the hierophant.

Bringing mystery to ground, showing the true face of monsters, putting all you got on the scale of "good sense".

jmd your turn :)

jmd  21 Jun 2003
Thanks Bec...

it was a good interpretation of that card in the context... but far more difficult to work backwards from. Great post to start us going!
