Primarily, the Tarot Games and Fun forum exists to provide a way to relax with the Tarot and have a little light-hearted fun. But as well as this, the games often provide a unique insight into others' views of the cards. They can serve to highlight seldom thought-of aspects of the cards, and can help to bring to mind new associations.
-Choose a song/poem that reminds you of a particular card.
-Type the words of that song/poem into a new thread.
-Others will try and guess what card you are thinking of by reading the song/poem.
-Please explain, when the correct answer has been guessed, why that song reminds you of that card.
-The person who guessed correctly is the person who chooses the next song.
*Please start a new thread for each new card*
What Card Am I?
-The person who is 'it' thinks of a card, and then describes it, in any way they wish, in a thread.
-They may describe it in first person pronouns ("I feel...") or second person pronounds ("he feels"), or you may simply ramble about what comes to your head when you think of that card. For instance:
"I am the code before you
I am the skeleton but not Death
I am the antithesis of the Fool and 2 Pentacles" (By Allibee, for the Heirophant)
Or:
"Come, little children, sit around the campfire with me, and I shall tell you a story...
A story so bold as to hide within it secret traditions and lost messages, a story so grand that you will remember it for years to come! You will be so amazed by my story, (Which was, by the way, passed down to me by my Father, who was told it by his father...) that it will be as though God were speaking to you through me!
Now listen, as I begin my tale....
Who am I?" (By Kiama, for the Hierophant.)
-Other people then guess what card it is.
-The person who guesses correctly then has the game passed onto them, where they start a new thread and go through the same process.
-You can do the same card more than once if you wish.
*Please explain your choice of words/description once the card has been guessed correctly: This adds a little learning to the game threads and gives everybody an insight into the card that they may have not previously thought of.*
-When the card has been guessed correctly, I shall edit the title of the thread to include the card, so that the threads are easily referenced and looked up.
[/b]
-The person who's turn it is, creates a new thread with a spread in it that they have done.
-They write out both the cards, their position, and meaning, but for one card they write only the meaning and position: Not what card it was.
-Others have to guess what card it is, based on the meaning given.
-The person who guesses correctly starts a new thread, and goes through the same process.
[/b]
-This is virtually the same as What Card Am I? but instead of using clues from our own minds, we use passages from literature.
-It could be anything as short as:
"From Goethe's Probleme, 1823 (amongst, ie, his scientific papers, rather than his literary ones):
The manifestation of a phenomenon is not independent of the observer - it is caught up and entangled in his individuality." (by JMD, for the Magician)
to paragraphs from a book.
*Please cite your sources clearly, and when the card has been guessed correctly, explain your choice.*
[/b]
-In this game, the person who's turn it is, gives clues as to the Tarot deck they are thinking of, and others guess what deck it is. -An example of a clue is:
"Which deck am I?
Ace Wands
I kneel before the medieval fire
The flames turn my wings orange but my flower is unharmed
I'm yet to be born to my purfect mother
I am in the first third of the alphabet" (By Allibee, for the Golden Tarot)
*The person who guesses correctly should start a new thread and go through the same process.*
Above all, enjoy the games!
Blessings,
Kiama

Since a new game has been added to this forum, I shall give the rules here for everybody's perusal...
[/u]
- The object of the game is to guess correctly the card being referred to.
- In order to do this, you must ask questions about it.
- The initiator of the thread will specify the deck that the card is from.
- Questions must be closed questions (ie- can only be answered by 'yes' or 'no'.
- Questions must be based on image. Questions such as 'Is it a Major?' or 'Is it a Court card?' are not allowed.
- Each person may only ask one question at a time: they may ask their next question when their previous one has been answered.
- If, however, somebody else has asked a question that has not yet been answered, a different person may still post a new question: the same person may not post two unanswered questions in a row.
- You can guess what card you think it is at any time during the game.
- If you guess incorrectly, you are 'out' and cannot guess any more. (This refers to the card, eg- "Is it the 6 of Wands?" not the questions themselves, eg- "Does it have flowers in it?")
- The person who guesses in the least number of questions wins.
- The total maximum of questions is 20.
- If the card is not guessed correctly within 20 questions, the initiator must reveal what the card is and have another go, starting a different thread.
- It can be any deck, any card, though it helps to use a deck that many people will own. (Or give a link to where all the cards from that deck can be seen.)
Most of all, enjoy the game!

- This is exactly like the original What Am I games, but the clue has to be a one-line quote from anyone or anywhere.
- When the card has been guessed correctly, the winner starts a new thread with a new one-liner clue.
- The initiator of the thread chooses three cards at random from their Tarot deck.
- People then have to put together a sentence about those three cards.
- The initiator of the thread, after 3 days, chooses the one they think is the best, and the winner starts a new thread, with three new cards.
Example: 10 of Wands, 2 of Cups, and Ace of Pentacles:
"Economic dictates (Ace of Pentacles) are oppressive to (10 of Wands) love. (2 of Cups)" - by Firemaiden, words in brackets are mine.
Enjoy the games!
