The Empress of Hollywood- the mother creature in Alien! lol...has to be human?....ok....
Florence Henderson (Carol Brady)?
Jim Carey-- the current fool in Hollywood?, perhaps, but (IMO) Robin Williams is way funnier.....think on this; RW can do stand-up comedy.....impovisation.....JC flopped at stand-up.
Wouldn't the Magician be behind the camera- directing everything?

The emperor has to be Sean Connery!! (wasn't he King Arthur in some film). A morally upstanding, mature man who always, for me, has a presence which is not often matched. Yes, definately Sean connery!!

Björk would make the ideal Hanged man.
(I'm talking about her selma character in dancer in the dark")
Not because of the movie plot (the link is a bit too literal) but because of the story behind the scenes.
Bjork did fight to not star in "dancer in the dark", but the director would not make the movie without her. And since she had already done all the music for the film, she didn't want to have lost her time.
So, she had to surrender and let go.

Now for the Heirophant... Steven Spielberg!!! obviously! What a better way to profess his faith than movies like Shindler's List and the The Last Days? Whew. Proud of myself for that.

Personally I had the lovers pegged as Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, but the Osbournes are cool.

I absolutely loved NICOLE KIDMAN in the OTHERS as a ghost. So I think she will be perfect candidate for the DEATH card.

Thanks Red Emma, I thought so too. Just a stroke of luck that it came to mind.
However I forgot that we already had a fool, so I'll have to think up something else for SS and SP. (as mentioned above)

Alright, I know this may sound corny, but I think Holly Marie Combs, Alyssa Milano, and Rose McGowan would look great as the beauties on the 3 of Cups. (Yes, I am a big fan of Charmed :) )

I like Isabella Rossellini for The Empress... I actuallly made a "Temperance" card with Loreena McKennitt & a "Star" card with Enya... They are beautiful, I wish they were publishable! Anyhow, I have a number of singers in my list - you ought to hear my soundtrack, I actually *made* one for both Major & Minor Arcana!! :)

I don't know why I have to fill in the "subject" field, & then my posts don't seem to go up. I had wanted to say that I had made a beautiful couple of tarot cards with Loreena McKennitt as "Temperance" & Enya as "The Star", I wish these were publishable, they are beautiful! You should hear the soundtrack I made - full deck, Major & Minor!! I'll put the song list up as soon as I have the tapes! :)

danhube: I see from another post that you mention that you made the above one in error. (You pressed a "new thread" instead of "reply to post", if I understood you correctly.) Until Kiama gets back from her Christmas celebrations and deletes this thread, you have the option of pressing the "edit" button underneath your above post, deleting your text and writing "please delete".
Alternatively, you could leave it here and we could make a new game out of it! For instance: Guess which thread this post should have been posted in!

What about Robert Redford for the Hermit? Wise, knowledgeable. Stays out of the puplic eye, willing to share knowledge with those who seek it. Such as the Sundance festival engouragig indegendent thought, ideas etc.
