This song is by Nilsson and it dates back 30 years.
Turn on your Radio
I don't know were I'm goin'
now that I am gone-I hope the wind that's blowin'
helps me carry on
turn on your radio baby, baby listen to my song
turn on your night light baby, baby I'm gone
I don't know how it happened now that I am gone
I hope I never hear it baby, just in case I'm wrong
turn on your record player listen to my song
turn on your night light baby, baby I'm gone
I don't know where life's goin'
but soon it will be gone
I hope the wind that's blowin'
helps it carry on
Turn on your radio baby, listen to my song
and turn on your night light baby
baby I'm gone
Good Luck

The Fool? The singer seems to be a traveller, who can't stay in one place, always has to be on the way to the horizon...
Or the Knight of Cups? I get the feeling that the verses are being sung to different women on his journey?

Dark Angel both are good guesses, but that is not the card I had in mind.

The eight of cups comes immediately to mind. Someone going into the hills leaving the past behind.

Four of Cups? He feels the relationship is stagnating and decaying around him, and he has to get out, even though he still cares for her (possibly she's his child rather than his lover, so he's leaving her mother rather than his 'baby'), and he doesn't want to know how things turn out in case he was wrong and regrets his decision. In this interpretation, I don't think I like him at all!

Well The 8 cups would have been my first choice followed by the 6 swords but seems I am too late So i'll have to go for th e
7 of Swords,
Coz he seems to be running away, dispite liking the person he's running out on them.

Well, all great answers, but no. Dark Angel you made such a compelling point on your last answer I almost changed my answer.

Hint, look at his life as a cycle.

Wheel of Fortune?
When you said cycle you got me thinking... maybe it's not 'his' song, maybe he wrote it when he was successful, and things have gone wrong and this is him saying goodbye to his fans and friends as he leaves that part of his life behind. He's gone from anonymity to fame to anonymity again, and is on the road again.

I guess that was a good hint. The Wheel of Fortune it is!
Okay Dark Angel your turn for a tune.
