What Card Am I? (20 Questions)- Solved

Again, just a reminder for those who want to join who may be unsure of the process.

The idea is that only closed questions may be asked (ie, ones to which I am permitted to only answer 'yes' or 'nay').

Apart from that, anything goes :)

...one more thing - I may as well specify the deck: I will use the Fournier Marseilles <- all cards are viewable via the link :)

Happy hunting...

Major Tom  18 Nov 2003
Is the card a major?

jmd  18 Nov 2003
No such luck !

})

Major Tom  18 Nov 2003
Is the card a court card? ;)

Mystic Zyl  18 Nov 2003
Is there a man?

Emily  18 Nov 2003
Is there an animal on the card?

gloria  18 Nov 2003
Is there a sword on the card?

gloria  18 Nov 2003
Is it 20 questions each JMD or just the twenty between us? :)

jmd  18 Nov 2003
No to a court card;

No to a man;

No to an animal;

No to a sword;

...and twenty questions in total...

now fifteen left :)

Diana  18 Nov 2003
Are there flowers on the card?

jmd  18 Nov 2003
Yes, there are flowers...

:)

Diana  18 Nov 2003
How many questions are we allowed to ask? (Or must we use our own discretion for this?) I mean I know it's 20 in all, but how many for instance can I ask out of those 20?

(Hey! This doesn't count as a question!)

jmd  18 Nov 2003
...no, it doesn't count as a question, but as two!!! })

Neither are valid, for I cannot reply 'aye or nay'...

But seriously.

I personally have only played this game once. I presume that each person may ask questions whenever they want, though it would probably be uncourteous to begin by asking too many. I would guess that as the game nears its completion, those who have especially asked questions which really limit the cards may want to quickly ask others...

I do not personally think that the rules are too strict, and it is better to keep the game rolling than await others to post MUCH later...

...just my personal views.

Gaidheal  18 Nov 2003
Does the card have a lot of green in it?

jmd  18 Nov 2003
yes... in my view at least.

[13 qs left :)]

Mystic Zyl  18 Nov 2003
Are there children?

jmd  18 Nov 2003
No children :)

gloria  19 Nov 2003
Is there a Wand?

Major Tom  19 Nov 2003
Are the flowers all the same colour?

jmd  19 Nov 2003
Yes - there is a wand;

Yes - the flowers are the same colour.

(10 Qs left :))

gloria  19 Nov 2003
Is it the Eight of Wands?

Kiama  19 Nov 2003
For everybody's benefit I have put together the rules for the game (as consolidated through trial and error!) and posted them in the 'Index: Game Rules' sticky at the top of this forum.

:D

Just went through my whole deck, and I am perplexed to say the least!

Allright...so we know that there is no man...

But...Is there a woman on the card?

Diana  19 Nov 2003
Is one flower open and one flower closed?

Gaidheal  19 Nov 2003
Ah, I noticed the italicized "a". All right, are there multiple wands?

Mystic Zyl  19 Nov 2003
Is it the six of wands?

jmd  19 Nov 2003
Gloria has it with the Eight Wands :)

gloria  20 Nov 2003
Thanks JMD :)

Shall come back later with a clue, as am not prepared, I didn't expect to win. :)
