"Misery is manifold. The wretchedness of earth is multiform. Overreaching the wide horizon as the rainbow, its hues are as various as the hues of that arch - as distinct too, yet as intimately blended. Overreaching the wide horizon as the rainbow! How is it that from beauty I have derived a type of unloveliness? - from the covenant of peace, a simile of sorrow? But as, in ethics, evil is a consequence of good, so, in fact, out of joy is sorrow born. Either the memory of past bliss is the anguish of to-day, or the agonies which are, have their origin in the ecstasies which might have been."
- Edgar Allan Poe, Berenice

Sharon gets it! It was the Six of Cups. It reminded me of Thirteen's interpretation:
"Think of it as that movie moment when the traveler finally arrives back at their childhood home after years of ups and downs, and they see the boy/girl next door that they left behind and suddenly realize that the boy/girl next door has always been their one and only true love. This card does not need to refer to a person; it can denote anything from the past coming back into the Querent's life and providing an answer to their emotional dilemma. A relative who knows family secrets, a photo album they haven't looked at in years reminding them of better days or of what really matters. The past is what brings things together with this card."
Lately, people have been mentioning how there can be a downside to this seemingly always positive card. It can indicate emotional turmoil. The quote talks about finding something unlovely in something beautiful, so that's where I got that from. Also, the card talks about memories, and how they can cause us anguish in their remembrance, perhaps memories of that special person to whom we never professed our love, and are forever regretting it, due to them having moved on, etc., rather than having realized it sooner and gone back to them before it was too late. Sort of a twist there.
Game Over :)

Hi,
Do I have to think of a literary clue and post it somewhere, as i guessed it correctly.
If so, let me know when - and i'll think of something!
