"The next time she saw this bastard she'd kill him like a scabby dog."
Yeah, it's from me...
Lady Mary: The buring desire or the road to hell (working title) - unpublished.
Sorry, but Sergeant Hoke Moseley (1) is drinking beer and watching TV - and of no big help to me. So I had to give you something else. Hope you guys don't mind.
(1) Charles Willeford created this character and I just read "The way we die now" - can recommend it!!!
Edited to correct the word "Sergeant"

Another absolutely delightful quote from Lady Mary. :D
Revenge, huh? And sounds like very sweet revenge.
King of Swords, maybe?

Hmm, she sounds like a seething inferno of rage. I'm going to guess The Tower.

I could just hear the Queen of Swords saying something like this when she was having an 'off' day!

How about the Hanged Man?
I'm thinking that she may have tied him up there as a warning not to come near her again.
Or, using the Chinese deck - the Hanged Ghost is a victim of wrongdoing, who might well want to get her own back on the people who killed her.

Judgement,... ? He must sow what he reaps ? He made his bed and now he must lie in it ??
I also like queen of swords.... being one myself !
I think it would be a good choice, but it has already been said. :(

Sorry, I had none of the so far mentioned cards in mind when I wrote this text, but all of your suggestions are really excellent!

Not the Devil and not Strength.
... when I wrote this text I had very strong feelings towards this man (the bastard) ...
... he brought her (you're absolutely right, Gloria!) - a queen of swords/cups-type, stuck with her 2 Swords - in a terrible situation ...
... guess it must be very easy now ...

So so far we have:Justice;
Strength;
Hanged Man;
Devil;
Tower;
Judgement;
10 Swords;
Queen of Swords;
King of Swords; ...and just a reminder on this page, the quote is'The next time she saw this bastard she'd kill him like a scabby dog.' ...how about the Fool :D
People do react in funny ways to strange characters!

Lady Mary, are you using a Waite clone deck, or a non-traditional one?

9 of Swords.
9's are the end of a cycle - not yet a new one though. Once she's killed the scum with her swords she can move on to better things.

Personally I'd send my "berserker" Knight of Wands after him! The fire, the passion, the hatred when it all goes sour....
But you seem to be indicating we're staying with the Swords suit, Lady Mary, so I'm going to hedge my bets and call in the Knight of Swords instead, to restore her honour!

Hi Scorpion,
you "got" it! It's the Knight of Wands.
The "bastard" is a Knight of Wands type. Daring, bragging, going ruthlessly after what he wants, nothing can stop him. If you look at him at the RWS-card in his armour you know what I mean. She couldn't resist him, but she also hated him!
And it's also a Knight of Wands situation, passionate and fiery, challenging and adventurous that led to this outburst of hatred (even if it was only in her head - being a Queen of Swords/Cups - type).
So, over to you Scorpion!

Many thanks for that, Lady Mary: I'm delighted to have been on the right wavelength!
It may take a day or two for me to come up with a suitable quote - I've just finished reading Thomas Harris' "Hannibal" but I suspect any quotes from that would just be too obvious: Devil, Devil and Devil!!!
