Funniest card interpretations

I had to start this thread after laughing my head off yesterday when I was once again browsing through my new RSTRW deck (for those of you who don't know that stands for Radiant Squeaky Tangerine Rider-Waite deck ;))... :D

So, what are the funniest things you see in the cards?
Here's something I saw... :D

Five of Swords:

After the guys have had a training match of sword fighting two of them are leaving. One of the guys is lighting a cigarette near the shore and the other one is joining him. The third guy decides to take advantage of the situation and steal all the swords for himself.

Queen of Cups:

There's a little kid trapped inside the queen's throne. The kid is desperately trying to get out leaning against a glass wall.

Three of Cups:

Girls' night out. The three girls are toasting and dancing while being a bit tipsy.

Seven of Cups:

What is that person trapped under a bed sheet?

Page of Wands:

I'd rather not say... Let's just say he's... umm... Just look at him! And the wand... Maybe I have a sick imagination...

I tried yesterday to tell a story on the cards to my husband and the story turned out to be a silly story of a guy who used to drink a lot and everyone wanted to beat him with sticks...

I might have mislabelled this thread since no-one is answering... What I meant was probably more like 'Funniest things you see in the cards'!!!

I see a few funny things too. I feel a bit naughty being less than serious about the cards though LOL.

4 of cups = "I wish disembodied hands would stop coming out of the clouds and offering me cups. I've bought 3 already today!"

Page of cups = "Hang on a minute I ordered a beer, isn't this a fish?"

6 of swords = "I think this boat is taking in water... I wonder why??" (eg swords stuck in bottom of boat can't be good for it)

7 of pentacles = "But it said tomatoes on the seed packet!"

Ace of cups = "the latest in our line of garden ornamentation includes this charming water feature....free hand included while stocks last."

8 of wands = "javeline practice was busy that day..."

LOL. Oh dear I feel guilty now.

Alsie, the tarot has a sense of humor too! There's a difference between teasing and joking (good thing) and ridiculing (judgmental thing).

Don't miss Firemaiden's spoof readings in "Reading Exchange"--a great example of the fun to be found in playing with the tarot and yet finding nuggets of authentic truth.

The Magician:

It is always useful to learn John Travolta's dance moves in Saturday Night Fever.

The Hanged Man:

You can make a good rope for your acrobatic hobbies from pantyhose.

Nine of Swords:

Never place weapons above your bed to avoid headache.

Queen of Swords:

Never test the sharpness of a sword on your own wrist.

Two of Pentacles:

It is not wise to do several types of gymnastics at the same time.

King of Pentacles:

It is probably not wise to borrow your wife's clothes when about to perform as a drummer in public.

Strength:

Remember to check your pet's teeth regularly. In case of bad breath tie some herbs around you.

Page of Swords:

Practising baseball with a sword instead of a bat can be dangerous.

:D:D:D:D

Thank you imagemaker. You're right, it's ok to have a laugh and joke about the cards as long as it isn't ridicule. I didn't want to disrespect them I guess since I'm new on here. I will be sure to have a look at those spoof readings :)

I actually managed to recreate the Hanged Man once when I was about 4 or 5 yrs old. I was climbing on the top of a small stepladder that my parents had left open in the garden and I slipped and ended up hanging totally upside down by the end of my skirt LOL. At least I didn't land on my head...but I won't be trying that again anytime soon :P

They really made me laugh :)

By the way, don't feel guilty. I find that tarot cards are most use to me when I'm most playful with them. And I don't think anyone is likely to be offended by what you wrote.

Somewhere here there's a thread (meditation on the tarot, maybe) where it was suggested that we take a card and recreate the figure's position in order to learn from it. From your re-enactment of the Hanging Man, do you remember what you learned? :D

Well judging from the position I ended up in, I learnt that it's always good to wear something under your skirt if you are going to be climbing a ladder :P Is that the sort of wisdom that we're looking for? :)
