This game keeps dying a death….so am resurrecting it once again.

‘The louder he talked of his honour, the faster we counted our spoons.’ Emerson

What card am I?

jmd  11 Feb 2004
XV Devil ?

Dark_angel  11 Feb 2004
Seven of Swords?

gloria  11 Feb 2004
Hi JM......good card but not the one.
Dark-Angel the 7/Swords was the first card card that came to mind with this quote.....but then I thought of another....G.

mercenary30  11 Feb 2004
King of Wands?

gloria  11 Feb 2004
Hi mercenary....no to King/Wands.

Dark_angel  11 Feb 2004
Knight of Swords?

ncefafn  11 Feb 2004
4 of Pents?

Kim

Dark Eyes  12 Feb 2004
Page of swords??

gloria  12 Feb 2004
No, not the card I have in mind yet.
I thought JMD would have got it first off!
But please keep trying.
Think about what this man is doing, or how he is behaving.

Kiama  12 Feb 2004
Knight of Wands? He sounds quite boastful to me, and I often see the Knight of Wands as a boastful person...

gloria  12 Feb 2004
Sorry Kiama but not Knight/Wands...in fact not a Court card at all.

Mystic Zyl  12 Feb 2004
Hi Gloria!

5 of Swords

gloria  12 Feb 2004
MYSTIC!!!!!
Hi there...long time no see....I am glad to see you back in the saddle.....but sorry not 5/Swords. :(

Dark_angel  12 Feb 2004
Nine of Cups? He seems... refreshed, as people up here say, so maybe he's looking for a souvenier?

gloria  12 Feb 2004
Sorry Dark_angel...but not the one.

Don't you find that the people who feel the need to extol their virtues are the ones you have to watch???
This is someone who can do both at the same time!!!

Dark_angel  12 Feb 2004
the Hierophant?

gloria  12 Feb 2004
Not the Hierophant Dark_angel.

witchywomyn  12 Feb 2004
knight of coins

jmd  12 Feb 2004
I the Bateleur/Magician ?

mercenary30  12 Feb 2004
I honestly think jmd has it. if not maybe the Emperor......

ncefafn  12 Feb 2004
Yes, I think it's either jmd or Merc who's got it. At least I hope so.

Lady Mary  12 Feb 2004
Magician or Emperor are excellent answers. But as they're taken I'll try the 6 of Wands. Maybe there're are some silver spoons hidden in his robe.

ncefafn  12 Feb 2004
I know, how about Judgement, a guy who's always tooting his own horn! :D

Kim

gloria  13 Feb 2004
Yes JMD has it!!!

Just a couple of the many assets? associated with The Magican.
The gift of the gab……sleight of hand!!
In Emerson’s quote he combines the two magnificently! But then…he never does things by halves does he?

Thanks to all who played.

Over to you JM. :)

jmd  13 Feb 2004
:)

... now to find a one line quote! :)

Dark Eyes  15 Feb 2004
Yes,

I absolutely agree, Emerson never does anything by halves. I am a big Emerson fan , I love his work. Glad there are others who appreciate it. !!!!!!!!!!

well done jmd, looking forward to your quote !!

Regards D.E. :)
