As you have made a promise, you must keep it; so go and let him in.

Jacob & Wilhelm Grimm: The Frog-Prince

Three Cups?

CreativeFire  28 Feb 2004
How about Justice?

Being fair and keeping a promise ...

gloria  28 Feb 2004
The Devil?
You've committed yourself...there's no way out.

Dark_angel  28 Feb 2004
The Lovers?

Lady Mary  28 Feb 2004
No, sorry, not these cards.

jmd  28 Feb 2004
Tower ?

mercenary30  28 Feb 2004
The fool.

Lady Mary  28 Feb 2004
No - keep guessing!

gloria  28 Feb 2004
Promises, vows...Hierophant?

mercenary30  28 Feb 2004
Five of Pentacles?

Lady Mary  28 Feb 2004
No - keep guessing.

CreativeFire  28 Feb 2004
Judgement?

Karma, judge your own actions, keeping a promise....

MattDouglas  28 Feb 2004
Death!!

The change of promising to commiting to it takes away the time you would use to pursue other oppurtunities and hence kills them.

gloria  29 Feb 2004
King/Swords?

Dark_angel  29 Feb 2004
It seems the honorable thing to do, so...

Knight of Pentacles?

Lady Mary  29 Feb 2004
No, sorry, none of these cards.
But Matt got a very good point. It's got to do with making a promise and then have to bear the consequences.

I mean, it was fun at the well, playing with the golden ball, and the frog even brought the toy back from the bottom of the well, but when she saw this nasty green thing standing at the door, demanding entrance, and then he also wanted to eat from her little golden plate and even sleep in her bed, the princess was not at all pleased...

Okay, will give the Hanged Man a try?

Sacrifice - assume responsibility for whatever decisions or promises you make.

CreativeFire

Lady Mary  29 Feb 2004
No, it's not the Hanged Man - and I had no Major Arcana card in mind.

Agathe  29 Feb 2004
ok, so let's try 9 of swords

MattDouglas  29 Feb 2004
3 of swords!!!!

As the frog prince must be let in the door, so must the pain of our action be let into our heart.

Lady Mary  01 Mar 2004
Sorry, I had none of these cards in mind. So keep guessing.

Lady Mary  01 Mar 2004
Hey! What's the matter with you? Tired?

The princess hated that she had to deal with this ghastly frog. But so is life. First fun, and then ...
(But don't be sad: We all know she got the most wonderful prince then - but this would be another story - and another card!)

Agathe  01 Mar 2004
How about 5 of pentacles?

CreativeFire  01 Mar 2004
okay - will try the 6 of Pentacles ...

giving and taking with the frog - promise made - promise kept

CreativeFire

Lady Mary  01 Mar 2004
No, I'm sorry, but I had another card in mind.

mercenary30  01 Mar 2004
Ten of Wands?

Diana  01 Mar 2004
Maybe the 6 of Cups?

MysticOpal  01 Mar 2004
5 of cups

mysticopal

mysticalowl  01 Mar 2004
How about the four of cups? Sort of a mixed bag...not sure what she wants.

Lady Mary  02 Mar 2004
Mercenary30.
I had the Ten of Wands in mind when I pictured the frog demanding entrance (and much more :D).
Well, fun turns sometimes into burden and responsibility.
But we all know: The kiss changed him into a prince (finally). ... And they lived happily ever after.
Now it's your turn, Mercenary30.
