When the Star is in a spread no matter where, I like it!
I said the Four of Pentacles in the thread of what I don't care for BUT I'll always smile at this 'the potty card'. Always think of an outhouse now. LOL
What card(s) do you like to see in a spread?

I read the original '4 of Pentacle / Potty' thread a while back! I, too, grin everytime this card comes up!
My favorite card would have to be The Sun. It is so bright and happy!

The card that makes me smile is the one that as soon as I see it, and where it is located it makes so much sense. I don't even have to think about it, it is so obvious. I just smile, chuckle, and shake my head. Tarot is amazing.

Strength, MY card. Whenever it comes, I know i'm on the right path whatever the difficulties might be. It warms my heart up.
If you mean "what card makes you smile ah ah" then i'd agree with Ruby7, the Chariot in the Victoria Regina is a good one. Many cards in the Tarot of Prague make me smile, the ones in the Baroque Bohemian Cats almost all make me laugh, they're amazing! Karen and Alex have a wicked sense of humour and an endless creativity. As a cat owner and lover (can one go without the other?), i imagine our cats being dressed up like that. I'd better never show the cards to our little girls because they'd think they HAVE TO try it at home... ;)

I'm with Kissa. Strength is my personality as well as my soul card too and I love to see it in a reading. It always gives me confidence.
I don't have the Witches Tarot but everytime I see the Horned One (or Devil) online I have to grin. He looks like he's telling the people: "Hey dudes, have fun, let's PARTY!" :D

My old friend, the Ten of Swords! Whenever he comes up, hamming it like a good 'un with all that ironmongery in his back, I always grin and say 'Ah, c'mon!'. Last time, I was reading for someone who was nervous about having her cards done - she asked 'It won't say anything bad, will it?' and I said 'No, of course not...' and the very next card was that damn Ten of Swords! You just gotta smile...!

10 of cups in the RWS always makes me smile. The children dancing reminds me of childhood memories of playing and no worries. I can almost hear their delightful laughter whenever I see it. I think it appeals to the idealist in me, it's very 'happy ever after'. :)

Two cards are always guaranteed to make me smile...
The Lovers, which is apparently both my Soul and Personality card. Whenever I draw it in a reading for myself, I know I'm on the right track :)
The Ace of Cups. In the Robin Wood deck, which is the one I usually use, the cup is absolutely gorgeous looking, almost good enough to eat :D Makes me hungry ;9

The Sun, 9 Pentacles, 10 of Cups, maybe the World make me smile. Throw in the Moon, 4 Wands, and 2 Cups, after 3 of Cups I get the giggles and think it's time for the Lovers. 5 Wands crack me up and end up 9 Wands after too much 9 Cups, feeling 5 Pentacles and 10 of Swords in need of Temperance and praying for Star to show up and let me 4 Swords. After a day of 4 Cups I 9 Swords what I may have Page of Wands or Knight Swords and live to 5 Cups, wondering what the Devil I was Ace Swords in the first place and should have 8 Cups before I became a Fool.

I have the Ancestral Path deck and I absolutely love the images on the cards. They are so beautifully done!
These two always make me smile:
Seven of Swords: I love this guy, just standing here with all the swords he's stolen while the shopkeeper chats away in the background, with that smug look on his face that says "you losers, I can get away with anything." When I see that face, I have to smile right back at him.
Queen of Sacred Circles: To me, with the full moon in the background, she's a crazy old lady. She's just sitting there with that same smug look as the thief, and I can picture her shaking her head and chuckling to herself about some joke inside her head. I grin and want to laugh along with her. Yet, somehow, I'd trust her with my (hypothetical) child.

Since May, "they" have begun to implement the network firewall on the "inside" of the network. (not just protecting the servers from the Internet, but also from the people that support them)
So basically I cannot reach my servers from my workstation at work unless I have the correct firewall rules in place -AND- "they" keep reviewing the rules and deciding that they are wrong, and changing them without notice. The first we know that we cannot reach a specific port is when the we have a problem call, then "they" want 7 days to implement the rules again!
After a frustrating couple of weeks, I printed off the 9 of pentacles and 8 of swords. I posted them on my cubicle wall with a sign that said: "Before the firewall" "After the firewall"
The fact that the woman in the 8 of swords looks just like the senior person in the firewall group helped also })
So, now the 8 of swords makes me smile.

Amen to that!!
Besides the Happy Cards - The Star, The Sun, The Lovers, Ace of Wands etc., I love The Tower, possibly not in an actual reading but definitely the principle it embodies; there are times when you struggle so hard to stay on the right track, hear what Life is trying to tell you, see what it's showing you, face reality with your chin up and take the beating it gives you, and until you reach the end of it you have the constant nagging feeling that you're still missing something. It's reassuring in a perverse kind of way to know that however far you stray off-course, Life is there to throw you back on track.
Tarot shows you that the truth is there whether you wish to confront it or wait for it to confront you, and I like the idea of The Tower's massive reality check - jump into the deep end, just get it over with and come out a new person - the person you should be.
And just for the record, I'm actually not neurotic at all... ;-)

In the Hanson Roberts deck it's the Page of Cups....reminds me of my 8 year old son for some reason...
Gotta pick the 2 of cups over the Lovers cuz I don't like making decisions...
But in the DOM deck (and I know there aren't many that like that deck for obviously reasons). The deck has two "Lovers" cards. One represents a hetrosexual couple. The other one represents a gay couple. I thought that was really cool.
All in all...gotta say the Star though....and I sit and still wish!

I have to echo all of those postings about the Star. For me this has always been the "everything's going to be ok" card. I love the 10 of pentacles, and anytime it comes up in a reading I start grinning like an idiot. I mean, prosperity, comfort, legacy and loads of dough, what's not to like? I also smile at the Knight of Swords because he often represents my boyfriend charging off on some great intellectual crusade and the Queen of Pentacles because she usually stands for me (and my pet bunny).

The fool always makes me smile because I love jesters, but in my deck he's about to walk off of a cliff, so as far as seeing him come up in a reading I probably wouldn't really smile lol.
The one that makes me smile in a reading is The Chariot. I did multiple readings on the same issue, varying the question some of the time, but always the same general issue, and the Chariot card came up over and over again in the outcome position, so that made me very happy, and I became attached to the card, lol.
Plus the people on the card are really creepy looking, so that sort of makes me smile too lol, they're like egyptian cat people or something.

The Ace of Cups in the DruidCraft is one of my favourites, I think its very pretty and sums up the Cup Ace for me. The Moon of the Morgan Greer, the Sun in both decks, Strength and the Lady from the DruidCraft - she looks to be in a state of advanced pregnancy, feet swelled, belly large - and the look on her face - yep she's ready to be the Mother lol, the Empress in the Morgan Greer. :)

There are many cards that make me smile...
I just got the Forest Folklore Tarot and the Wheel of Fortune made me smile, with the cat undisturbed on top while the dog is fooling around and biting the spokes (typical behaviour of both animals)
In the DruidCraft Tarot the 10 Pentacles makes me smile, the grandad looks as if he is saying: I would this lot would just be quiet and leave me in peace.
In the Ferret tarot almost all cards make me smile, if I have to choose one I choose Temperance: one ferret preaches temperance while the other naughty ferrets are rolling on the floor laughing at such a concept :D

The card that makes me smile is the Six of Cups in my Robin Wood deck. A little boy gives a little girl a cup full of flowers, the smiling children surrounded by five other cups full of flowers. It's a card about the joy of childhood and how it relates to you now, an "inner child" card, so to speak.
When I was a child, my best friend was Leslie, a little girl who lived next door to me. We'd known each other since we were 2 years old. (I still have faint memories of us as toddlers, chasing each other around our yards) We were inseparable, but when we were 12, we were separated permanently; IBM transferred her father out of town and she had to move away. :( I have seen her a couple of times since then.
The boy and girl in the Six Of Cups even look like Leslie and I did when we were little. I love that card. :)

Overall, I LOVE The Empress (especially when she's pregnant) but hands down The Empress from my Tarot of the Old Path makes me happy. She's breastfeeding. :D (I plan on becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant one day. That kind of thing just makes me happy.)

The ten of coins and ten of cups always make me feel secure and calm but for a single card that I just love to see in any spread, the world gives me the most hope and tranquility. I love to see that card, somehow it always seems to make me feel whole and happy.
The World card in the Golden Tarot shows a benevolent looking woman with her cloak encompassing the masses "one person can make the world a better place" and I whole-heartedly believe it.

The two of cups always makes me smile.
About 20 years ago, back when those 800/976 numbers were really popular here in the staes, there was a commercial for a psychic hotlone. The woman in the commercial had the whole bit; Funny turban hat, pirate earrings, bunch of dangly braclets, table full of over-sized cards etc...
In the commercial, she would anounce your cards and what they mean.
THE TWO OF CUPS!! YOU WILL HAVE LUCK BEHOND YOUR WIIIILLLLDESSST DREAMS!!!
(In a low voice) And NOW, the card of adventure, the WORLD is YOURS....(I still have no idea what card she was refering to).
20 years later, I still laugh like and idiot over that commercial.
