I am pretty much a novice with all things Tarot, so hopefully everyone reading this and playing can follow my reasoning :)
"I lay down in the dark and sang to myself the hymns of the Great Mother. She was no Goddess to me, however. Not Diana of Ephesus with her rows and rows of milk filled breasts, or the terrible Cybele, or even the gentle Demeter, whose mourning for Persephone in the land of the dead had inspired the sacred mysteries of Eleusis. She was the strong good earth that I smelled through the small barred windows of this place, the wind that carried with it the damp and the sweetness of the dark green forest. She was the meadow flowers and the blooming grass, the water I heard now and then gushing as if from some mountain spring. She was all the things that I still had in this rude little wooden room where everything else had been taken from me. And I knew only what all men know, that the cycle of winter and spring and all growing things has within itself some sublime truth that restores without myth or language."
~Marius
from 'The Vampire Lestat' by Anne Rice
Good luck to all!

Wow, that's a tough one. I'll go with the obvious, to get it out of the way:
The World?

Ooooo.....good guess. I didn't even think of that one for this clue, but it does make sense.
Sorry, though. Try again :)

What a great clue from such a wonderful book! I think I will just have to make a random guess....what about the four of swords?

No, not the four of swords.......
The Empress was my second choice, but I had to go with another card......
And not the queen of pentacles either....
You are all on the right track...keep trying!

I'll try Judgement, for the sense of re-birth.

Who would have thought that TemperanceAngel would guess the Temperance card and get it right?!? Good Job! I am so glad that my clue made sense to someone besides me! lol
Your turn, Angel.
(Just curious..what does XTAX mean?)
"She was all the things I still had in this rude little wooden room where everything else had been taken from me."--seeing the good things through the bad that has befallen you.
"And I knew then what all men know, that the cycle of winter and spring and all growing things has within itself some sublime truth that restores without myth or language."--Temperance shows the ability to harmonize the conscious with subconscious. Time changes and renews and brings with it understanding.

I never win, YAY!!!!! There is some strange irony in it, don't you think MoonDreameR?? Great name, by the way!
So now I will sound a bit silly, but I want to make sure I get it right. I can choose any literary quote that I want? Right?
