I'll try 4/Pentacles....?

I will say 10 of Pentacles.

Nope. Keep guessing!

P.S. - Gloria, I agree. The children in my neighborhood have far fewer bruises now that I've become an omnivore again.

How about King/Pents?

No to both, but Gloria continues to get warmer. And I didn't realize I was frowning!

okay switching tack here - the speaker - then I would have to guess The Heirophant - something along the lines of confirming to the established view of vegetarians by the meat eaters ;)

The Emperor?

Nope, not the Emperor nor the Heirophant. I think these one-line clues are harder because there's less to work from. Keep trying!

I think I agree with you there, Kim !
Okay this one is from real out there - Strength.
Sorry, I just have this picture of the lion being the "speaker" (being the non-vege that he his) and is that why the lady is trying to close his mouth? I will let someone else have a more serious try as I am a bit brain tired this time of night! :)

Welcome, Cryptic_Lyric! Glad you could join us at AT and here on the Fun & Games board!
Well, it's none of the above. However, Cryptic_Lyric is close to the spirit of the card I chose, and Gloria is close, too. ;)
Since we're on the third page, let me add a clue: It's neither a Major nor a Court.

Sorry, Mercenary, but you're waaaaay off. But thanks for the insight into the 4 of Pents -- I never woulda pictured that guy as Ben Cartwright! :D
And Gloria and Cryptic_Lyric, you guys keep edging closer and closer . . . but haven't got it yet. :(

Not as desperate as I am, Mercenary. ACK! I think I must've totally screwed this up, or my reasoning is totally insane. :(
Another hint: think FAT! Fat fat fatty!

Yes it is funny because I can never figure out this game.

YES! Yes, Ros, you win! Oh, thank goodness!
I chose the 9 of Cups as the person most likely to give voice to the sentiment in this quote. Being a confirmed sensualist, this man is distrustful of anyone who lives a life even remotely approaching asceticism, ascribing to such persons nasty temperaments and perhaps even evil characters.
Over to you, Ros!

Hi, Cryptic. Generally, what we do is the winner starts the next one. However, in this case, Ros abdicated her throne as Queen of the Next One-Line Quote, and tried to hand it back to me. However, my queenly duties had come to an end and I didn't want to to resume them, so I handed it off to Merc. Hmm. Queen Merc . . .
Anyway, this was an unusual situation. :)
Keep playing, Cryptic, we need more blood around here!

I will definitely keep playing :)
This game can be very helpful for honing one's skills, and since I'm a beginner,I need all the 'skill honing' that I can get ;)
