Hi folks, I was just reading the sticky and thought I'd start up a LaLaLyric game. This is an old favorite song of mine, and it kind of sums up the thoughtful life review I've been having...albeit a tad more positive than my sleepless friend here! So, what card do you think I'm thinking illustrates this song the best? I'll start with the... 4 of swords. The man resting either sleeping or dead. The lyrics refer to death as sleep, it seems.

The song is interesting to me because, while the person speaking sounds regretful, he also feels like he has little control of where he is going. He wonders "...where my life will lead me..." Now the card I'm thinking about has very big associations with control, and while some of you read reversals, I do not. So, I am illustrating a darker aspect of this card. Hope that helps.

Are you referring to the... 10 of swords? Swords are air, hence mind, hence ego, hence control. 10 of swords is the blood (literary or metaphorically) for such living in one's head.

Perhaps this is not how many people would define The Chariot, but I think that when we let life steer us and wonder why things don't go the way we want, then we have indeed chosen the outcome, just not totally consciously. Life journeys and events spin around us and we can take responsibility or not. You read the clue correctly Matt. Congratulations.
