Good guess - it's one of the two cards I was thinking about for this song. Ultimately I chose one that I think reflects better the immateriality of this love - I don't see much physicality here (which would be a hallmark of the Devil) - the narrator can't touch the person she loves; they "shadow her dreams". (and yeah, i love indigo girls :) )
