I thought we could play with the courts a bit. How about I start and give a senerio and someone can respond how the court of their choice would. After their response they would need to provide the next person with a senerio too.
I hope you guys think this is fun.....
The mysterious un-named court receives a collect call from their sweet daughter at college. She's pregnant and who knows who the father is after all those keg parties!
Now what would _________ say to that?

i would insist that i keep the kid until she's out of school, then tell the welfare office that she's an unfit mother, to insure my success. i would slowly turn the kid against its mother, and spoil them with presents that i can not really afford on compensation.

i would load up my guns, and extra beef jerky, and hunt down some horny colledge a** i would not stop until they drag me drunken and sick to the drunk tank, where i start hitting on the same sex guard.
this is fun! two more.

i would have her carefully repeat her address at least ten times to be sure so i can be with her, leave food for the cat, the dog, let all my friends know that i wont be at the house, then forget my car keys in the house at least a couple times, realizing that i never locked the door to the house when i went to my car, locking the house door on the way. i go about a mile or so out of town, and realize i need gas, so i go back into town. i get a little further out of town this time when i cant find my daughters address. its back at the house.

"my daughter gets my answering machine which tells her that i am off to a rock concert in germany, and wont be back for at least four months."
Page of Cups response: "Agh, I can't believe I come from a family of such irresponsibilty - how can she just drop everything and headbang for four months in Germany!!! That self absorbed B*tch!" The page goes to her mom's house, get's her address book, calls her mom's rowdy friends to find out where she is staying. Goes there and drags her butt back home. But tells her that she really loves her on the card ride home :)

While at a royal feast, the court ______ is sitting in a position of honor right across from the Emperior. There is much wine, food, and entertainment. While taking an over zealous gulp of wine, the Emperior cracks a hilarious joke. That large gulp of wine shots out of ____ nose and mouth across the table right onto the Emperior. The first thing _________ does is...................

Keeps laughing at the joke, then compliments the emperor on the lovely color the winestains make and how they look absolutely fabulous with that robe, and then explains that the redness rising on the emporors face is starting to resemble the color of the wine and shoots of the sweeeeeetest smile imaginable while offering the emperor some more wine (indicating that it will be poured into the glass this time around).

Queen of Cups Rx;
Starts crying and blaming herself not only for having ruined the costume the emperor is wearing but for the trouble the staff will have with cleaning the tablecloth, not to mention the hard work put in by the people who prepared the wine and all the time it took for those wasted grapes to grow to perfection.
All the time spent by the workers, watering the fields, protecting the vines from any danger, and all for just having the wine sprayed all over a tablecloth that took ever so long a time to make (just look at the stitching on the hems) and the garments the emperor wears (just look at the embroidery of that robe)...
Runs away from the table and spends the rest of the evening sniffling into a hanky (which she also starts crying about since someones time will be wasted having to wash it now) and avoiding looking at anyone to avoid causing any more problems.

The knight of wands and the knight of cups become knights errant, travelling the land in search of adventure and pretty damsels in distress to rescue.
Unfortunately, both knights fall in love with one of said damsels. As a result of their contradictory natures they fight over her and part company, the damsel choosing to go with the wild-card and popular knigh of wands and leave behind the romantic knight of cups.
The knight of cups wanders the land alone and heart broken :( , while the knight of wands returns to the castle with the damsel and uses his eloquence and social charm to win everyone's forgiveness.

What both the Knights had not been aware of (not being very aware of anything at all...) was, that the damsel had been the Knight of Coins' girlfriend and so, one day...

...the Knight of Coins wakes up and realises- "Hey that looks alot like my old girlfriend who promised to be faithful and care for me until the end of my days. What is she doing gallivanting around the castle with this crazy guy (Knight of Wands)?" However, the Knight of Coins is unsure whether to approach her and decides to think the matter over for a few days...or weeks...

To help him decide what to do he goes off to talk to the page of cups who says "leave sleeping fishies alone, but when they wake up it's time to set them free" and walks off with his currently sleeping fish, safely resting in a jewel-encrusted bowl.
This makes no sense to the knight at first but he gives it some thought and after a few days he starts to device a plan.
(Ofcourse it was only after asking the queen of cups what that horrid fish-analogy meant that he realised he should probably find out wether the lady in question still had feelings for him, and has for the time being completely forgotten to find out wether He still has any feelings for Her other than that promise that in his mind should probably be honored because it was made after all...)

If the Knight of Wands had any genes for marrying at all, he would have done it three times over before the Knight of Coins even had reached his third line of thought... But, as it is, he rather heads of for another "little quest", leaving his damsel behind. - And passing the Page of Cups, who's sitting on the drawbridge, talking to his friends :D

...the Knight of Wands mentions in passing to the Page of Cups that he is setting off on a quest for fun and excitement as he has grown bored with the damsel who is talking about "long term commitment" and is extremely dull at parties.

The Knight of coins is completely spellbound, that his damsel wants long-term commitment and proposes to her right away, offering her all that he is (and always will be...)
The problem is, she's the kind of damsel, who only wants what she can't get - and so she wanted to be engaged only with the kinght of wands- not with this one.
To make her bafflement perfect, the Page of Cups, whom she would normally have considered much too young for this has seduced her, passing by, in a fit of affection....

This ofcourse rather upsets the more recent addition to the castle (the aformentioned new damsel) that she is getting some second thoughts about the knight she followed.

And the Queen understands just too well, making her own move on the girl and leaving the castle with her :)

...The Page of Cups happens to be old friends with the fish (though it has been a long time since he has fitted in the Page's cup :D). So he decides to pay the fish a visit. The monstrous fish, being related to the emotional water element, fully understands the Page's heartfelt grief at having lost his love to the appetites of a moat dwelling monster fish and agrees to cough up the damsel (Queen of Swords?) provided that a live human sacrifice be made to the creatures of the moat.
A suitable applicant for the sacrifice, the Knight of Coins, is found and desposed of into the moat to be feasted upon by the moat creatures, thus killing two birds with one stone.

Ofcourse no castle is quite complete without a knight of coins (unless he is just off on some quest and likely to come back "someday").
This prompts the king of coins to dub the Page of coins to Knighthood and sends him on his first quest to locate a new page to take his place, making it very clear indeed that the page is NOT to be a damsel since there has been quite enough of them around lately anyway...

The new Knight of Coins (still embodying some of the Page qualities) applies himself and scours the land dilligently for a new Page. However, before long, his new Knight of Coins characteristics kick in and he finds himself having trouble deciding if each youth he meets is really "up to the job".
He hires one young man to help him decide upon a new Page.
Unbeknownst to the Knight, this young man is in fact the perfect Page of Coins, but the Knight can't see past the end of his nose, and travels the land with this studious youth, searching for the young man he has already found. :joke:

Is everyone bored with this thread? Let's keep the story going, please!!!
Back at the castle, the King of Cups has been in engaged in a dispute with the King of Pentacles (who didn't know what he was talking about anyway). The shifty page of pentacles decides to avenge the honour of the king of pentacles (who the king of cups made look like a complete idiot) and sneakily slips some poison into the king of cups cup at dinner.
The king of cup becomes violently ill and news travels throughout the land that the only cure for his illness is to eat the egg of the giant eagle which lives on the top of the mountain.
The knight of cups (or should we call him the hermit) is still wandering around, exiled to the forest with a broken heart. He hears of the king's illness and decides to set out to retrieve the magic egg. He knows that if he saves the king of cups' life, the king will have to forgive him for having it on with his wife, spare his life and let him return to the castle.
The knight of cups knows, though, that he will need help so he secretly sends word to his last friend in the castle, the knight of swords to accompany him on this quest.

The knight of swords who can not leave a worthy cause be leaves immediately but does not manage to find the knight of cups since unfortunately other worthy causes present themselves to him along the way.
A twist of fate however, gets the two knights to meet at an inn not far from where said eagle and egg is supposedly found and off they go (after the knight of cups helps the knight of swords take care of the stables for a day, the stablehand fell sick and ofcourse the knight of swords offered to help).
They get to the mountain and begin to climb..

needless to say, they left the page of wands reversed at the next town.

Meanwhile, the other two knights have stopped on a rocky ledge of the mountain to rest. While they are recovering their breath, a long, many clawed talon reaches out from the ledge above them, taking a swipe at the knight of cups's head.
The knight of sword draws his sword and leaps on to the upper ledge, swinging his weapon wildly about his head.
Concerned for his friend's safety, the knight of cups follows him, only to discover that the eagle has been slain by his heroic and rather violent friend.
The knight of cups weeps bitterly over the death of such a beautiful and majestic creature, while the knight of swords retrieves the monstrous Egg from the eagles nest.

And this is where the problems really start...
Weeping over the loss of the eagle, the knight of cups tends the egg as the mother eagle would, carrying it under his garments to keep it warm.
The knight of swords is only so very pleased over succeeding in his mission that he fails to really notice the level of care the knight of cups is bestowing on the egg.
As they journey home, the question for those looking on becomes;
Will they reach the castle and provide the cure for the king before the egg hatches?
Meanwhile at the castle, the page of swords is running the roumor-mill and learning all about the intricacies of the court. He also learns that the knight of swords has left to aid the knight of cups in the quest of ressurecting the king of cups health, which ofcourse he shares with both the king and queen of cups.
Each gives rather a different reaction to this news..

The king of swords is sercetly furious that his knight has rushed to the aid of the exiled knight of cups in what is obviously a bid to get him back into the castle. He abandons all reasons and falls into a ranting rage, criticising every past action of the knight of swords and blaming every problem that arises on him somehow. Of course, he keeps the real reason for his anger to himself and doesn't want to discuss his real problem.
The Queen points out rather cleverly that this will only make his more ill, but really she's thinking...

The queen of wands suggests she whack him over the head a few times, but sadly informs the queen of cups that all kings suffer from such moody, "I want everything my way" tantrums (they are, after all kings, who were all once spoilt princes).
Meanwhile, the knight of swords and the knight of cups are having troubles of their own. They are still a days journey away from the castle and the egg is beginning to hatch...
