YES! The clue is in the one line "and here am i, destroyed". Falling in love with this person is the last thing this guy was counting on, and it's totally shaken him up so all he can do is feel awe and love for her. It's the classic "coup de foudre", like the lightning bolt hitting La Maison-Dieu. Over to you, Anubis. :)
