This is either very easy or very hard:
"Mad World"
All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying
Are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you
'Cos I find it hard to take
When people run in circles
It's a very, very
Mad World
Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me
The card I chose for this song is (for me) the obvious and only one to capture the general mood and feeling of it. It is easier when you know the music, and probably very easy if you've seen the movie (Donnie Darko). But there are also real clues in the lyrics themselves.
Have fun! ;)

That's probably wrong for we had her only recently, but I get a distinct
Queen of Swords
-feeling from these lyrics. Had to guess it :)

No, not the Queen of Swords, but I'd be interested in why you guessed her. Care to elaborate?

Well, this Queen is definitely a card of sorrow for me, and that's in the song, too.
There's a feeling of futility and desorientation in both. Maybe with the fight brain vs. emotion in the Queen!?
The first lines set the direction, cause I couldn't figure out if those faces were familiar or foreign and happy or sad. Made me think of masks.
Moreover, the first time I ever met this woman was the Art Nouveau Tarot- there, she's clutching the sword so tight that her hand is bleeding. That's the part with the beautiful dreams of dying...
Now I've got it: The Queen is the brink between wisdom and madness, between truth and lies. That was what I sensed in this song, too :) Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Now I'll go for full madness:
The Moon :)

Ah, it was too easy - The Moon it is.
Looking up and seeing the familiar world around us, but changed, strange, different, with a whole dimension of darkness and unknown stuff behind, this sudden realization and the sense of creepiness and latent fear, that's the Moon for me.
Your turn again ;)

Oh great- I've already got the Lit clue to work out tonight... But lyrics are easier to find I'll do it soon :D
