Wow, so many guesses in just one night :) And Yemanja already got it: it is The Star. I see a lot of it in this passage: Giving hope, the foot on the water ("drown out my dreams", well too hard, but you can take it as: the dreams are there, but she doesn't want to go into them,"drown in them") and the Tower survived (the unseen creatures hurrying away)
