Sorry I took so long to get back with this, everyone. :(
Here is my Lala Lyric~ don't bother translating the Latin, I don't think it will help too much!
Little Star by Stina Nordensam
---------------------------------------
Little star, so you had to go.
You must have wanted him to know.
You must have wanted the world to know.
Poor little thing,
Now they know.
Little star,
I had to close my eyes.
There was a fire at the warehouse.
They're always waiting for a thing like this.
Came driving from all over town,
For you, little star.
Little star, you, little star.
Little star, so you had to go.
You must have wanted him to know.
You must have wanted the world to know.
Poor little thing,
And now they know.
Laudamus adorramus te, Dominec.
Laudamusbenedicimus
Domine Deus.
Cum Santo Spiritu, in gloria Dei Patris.
For you, little star.
-------------------------------------------
I have a strange feeling that the Latin is misspelt. Never mind.
Good luck! ;)

I was thinking that the song was very 5 of cups for a while, but no, that's not what I had in mind when I posted. Keep guessing!

~Sorry
I made this hard by not giving you a vital clue...
...this song came from the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack!
Well that's it! It can't be that hard now. ;)

Sorry, that's not it either!
I won't be online over the weekend, so I won't be able to check up on this game until Monday.
A clue: Think less about what the singer is feeling and more about what she's singing about. Think Romeo and Juliet.
Guessed so Far:
-5 of Cups
-7 of Swords
-The Star
-8 of Cups
Happy guessing over the weekend! :)

Yay :D!
You win, danubhe!!!
I chose death because, although there is alot of pain and loss expressed in the lyrics, there is a sense of finality in it. What has been lost cannot return.
Also, I guess I kind of linked the lyrics too much to the film I'd heard them in, so I connected some sort of hope coming out of it~ the families coming together and the end of a feud resulting from an abrupt and painful change, the death of the children. The prayer-like part in Latin at the end of the song put this across to me.
Well done and well guessed everyone :). I look forward to having a go at danubhe's lyric next!

Now that I think about it...Death was obvious. I can't beleive we didn't guess that!

Everyone's guesses were good- I could see why each of them could have been right.
By the way- nice signature, Rain! Did you change it just now after this or was it staring me in the face all along? Very appropriate.
I can't wait for the next game to start!!! :)
