I got this idea from one of the readings in the Lets Marseille! group.
What Christmas, Hanukka, (enter your favorite holiday here) gift would the tarot recommend?
Let's see what the Tarot has to say about Holiday shopping today...
RWS Knight of Swords
This Knight is quite blunt and speaks his mind without emotion. He suggests a present that will resolve a problem.
How about giving your loved one a spa day, and make sure to include waxing that upper lip and getting those toe nails fixed up!
Or a gift certificate to Weight Watchers or LA Fitness... you really need to work on that baby weight now that junior is in college.
What is the Tarot recommending for you to give your loved ones this Holiday season?

You know, that is a novel idea.. I have never thought of using tarot for gift ideas... I will have to remember this for next year since I am done already :D

The nine of rods. Hmmm..the nine looks rather weary. I think he's telling me to just buy gift certificates for everyone and go home, lock the door, and put my feet up! ;)

I love it!!! What a fun way to use the cards. And likely helpful. I have very few people to buy for and since I'm just learning the cards I think this will be a really cool exercise.
One we are doing this year for Yule is a Random gift exchange. You bring a gift that is useful, maybe handmade...or not, and can't spend over $10. Wrap it. All the gifts go on a table and then everyone picks a gift. This way we didn't do a name exchange and hope everyone shows up. Figuring let God/Godess and our own Spirit guide our choosing.

The Devil... Hmmm... Maybe something that feeds an obsession or addiction like a new deck of tarot cards? :-)
Thanks for the thread -- this is fun!

hmm.... the way the Devil has those people tied up takes you down a whole different mental path for gifts. :)

Queen of Cups: For a friend that likes to hang out at the seashore - How about a nice beach umbrella and lounge chair combo?
2 of Swords: Sis works nights and has trouble sleeping during the day? How about a Bucky eye shades and earplugs.
