Well...here it goes..I'm shaking my head and saying to myself that this should take a grand total of perhaps...ummm....10 mins or so?

So...
Prospero's Final Spell
from The Tempest
by William Shakespeare

Ye elves of hills, brooks, standing lakes and groves,
And ye that on the sands with printless foot
Do chase the ebbing Neptune and do fly him
When he comes back; you demi-puppets that
By moonshine do the green sour ringlets make,
Whereof the ewe not bites, and you whose pastime
Is to make midnight mushrooms, that rejoice
To hear the solemn curfew; by whose aid,
Weak masters though ye be, I have bedimm'd
The noontide sun, call'd forth the mutinous winds,
And 'twixt the green sea and the azured vault
Set roaring war: to the dread rattling thunder
Have I given fire and rifted Jove's stout oak
With his own bolt; the strong-based promontory
Have I made shake and by the spurs pluck'd up
The pine and cedar: graves at my command
Have waked their sleepers, oped, and let 'em forth
By my so potent art. But this rough magic
I here abjure, and, when I have required
Some heavenly music, which even now I do,
To work mine end upon their senses that
This airy charm is for, I'll break my staff,
Bury it certain fathoms in the earth,
And deeper than did ever plummet sound
I'll drown my book.

Have fun! :)

So far:

The Magician
The Hermit

Ummm.... The Magician.....? (it's really hard!)

Fulgour  30 Nov 2004
Prospero could teach even The Magician a few new tricks.
He seems to me more like The Hermit ~ and what really
do we know about that solitary Sage? Prospero has long
and patiently waited and worked for very specific goals,
and much like the mysterious cloaked figure of the lone
Hermit, he may be more like one who seeks to enlighten.

WhiteRaven  30 Nov 2004
Nope....not yet

But Fulgour...you made a very good point...so much so that I too almost saw it that way...but subtly got pushed in another way...

Carry on folks...

You have it!!!

I didn't think it would take too long..

"And ye that on the sands with printless foot
Do chase the ebbing Neptune and do fly him"

This is what I meant by "subtle"...plus through out I was reminded of the story of Odin and how he tied himself for 9 days and received all the wisdom of the Runes....

Great job...!!!

:)

Yeah, talking about abjuring his power made me think of the Hanged Man.

Great clue, WR! I love the Tempest.

Cool! This means I do one next, right?

Hmmm... *pages through books*
