The Challenge (should you choose to accept it!)
To come up with an idea for the image on each of the 78 tarot cards, based on a Christmas theme...
The Rules
Use any Christmas tradition you like.
Come up with as many suggestions for each card as you like (the more the merrier!)
Try to think of an image which captures a meaning of the card.
The Question
Can we come up with an image for each card by Christmas? Will there be some which we just can't do?
The Method
State the card your idea is for, describe your idea and add a few words about which aspect of the meaning your idea represents.
Examples...
Card: 2 of Cups
Description: Two people standing facing each other under some mistletoe
Meaning: Magnetic attraction, connection, first kiss
Card: 10 of Pentacles
Description: A Christmas wreath hanging on a front door
Meaning: Family home, security, tradition
Card: The Star (oh so easy!)
Description: 3 wise men following the star of Bethlehem
Meaning: Guiding light, hope, beacon in the darkness
Won't this be fun? :D
Kind thoughts & seasons greetings,
Pip

The Empress

Mother, looking after the brood, taking care of everyone
(still new to this, so thoughts would be appreciated)
Good, but I think of the Empress as Mary: pregnant with Jesus! Maybe the Emporer is Joseph.
And the Tower is too many gifts in a heap, falling on your head. In a crowed frenzied Christmas eve toy store!
And the Devil is a child with a coin for the poor box, looking also in a store window at a toy that they want-badly!

meaning: Christmas will here soon enough, enjoy the wait.

meaning: Keep working and learning, and maybe next year you'll be able to buy a vase! :)

The jolly old man's down the chimney and about to put little Johnies skateboard under the tree when bam...
Card Picture: ...Santa's strung up by his boot in a trap Johnie set to prove he's real. His arms are crossed angrily over his chest, his sack open on the floor to the left of him spilling presents out as little Johnie stands there in dismay pointing at the "big" man in front of the Christmas tree. Who turned out to be very real indeed!
Card Meaning: A new perspective, Wisdom gained by preparing for the worst!

I just found this site a few days ago. Looked so fun, I had to join in! Here's my contribution to the list:
Ten of Wands: In a mall, a shopper is overburdened by presents and looking miserably at a list of still more presents to buy. Meaning: Christmas can turn into a chore if managed incorrectly. The shopper has so many people on her list, yet none of them are helping her -- she has taken the full burden on herself.
Five of Wands: A group of shoppers squabbling over the last sale item on the shelf. Meaning: petty arguments with strangers -- is it really worth the bitterness?
Four of Wands: The Whos singing down in Whoville that day... Meaning: Community celebration.
Seven of Cups: A kid in a toy store! So many goodies, how can he choose?!
Six of Cups: A family gathered around a photo album of Christmases past. Meaning: fond memories, and passing information down to younger generations.

3 of Cups
The office party, raise the egg nog & share all the Secret Santa presents. Meaning: Joy and success to people who work together as one.
6 of Swords
Going home for the holidays, a tired man or woman looking out the window of a greyhound bus, heading home to the family for the big get together with the parents and siblings.
Meaning: Getting away from your life & problems for a while and falling back on tradition.
6 of Wands
The hunting of the perfect Christmas tree at the tree lot. The father of the family picking out the best, late at night, and having it hauled to his car.
Meaning: Your goal's about to be reached, victory is at hand.
