Thought I might start one up again... :)
A Jelly-Fish - Marianne Moore
Visible, invisible,
a fluctuating charm
an amber-tinctured amethyst
inhabits it, your arm
approaches and it opens
and it closes; you had meant
to catch it and it quivers;
you abandon your intent.

So sorry guys - I got busy and totally forgot to check here. flake!!
Lady Mary gets it right - The Moon! The poem reminds me of when the moon seems to be "following" you one minute and then the next it’s gone. Hiding behind clouds or just plain missing. And how the Jelly fish sort of resembles the moon. That we can be so drawn to the beauty and mystery of the moon but are still a little bit afraid and therefore withdraw.
that's it in the simplest. I could think a bit deeper on this one but I'm all out of deep thoughts today. :) on to you Lady Mary!
