Hi all,

i dont know if this has been done before but here's my idea for fun thread. Each member posts a picture of his/her pet(s) and the card that would best represent the said pet's personality and why. I'll get the ball rolling.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v643/kavitadevi/turtie.jpg

This is my cat Turtle ( yes i know, odd name for a cat). I'd say the best significator for her would be The Fool. because of her curiosity, child-like playfulness and her constant need to discover new things.

Here's a pic of my other cat Ashley, who's 12 years old. ( Turtle is a spritely 4). Ashley is the Queen of Swords, slightly aloof and cold, a no-nonsense kind of cat ( she will not hesitate to bite or scratch you if you are irritating her by stroking her too much), and intelligent.

Will post later with pics of my dog!

I cant see 'Turtle'. He's not coming up. :(

Great idea - Im looking for a picture now - back soon. :)

Blessings

hi elven, i've amended the link, it should work now.

NeuroticNovice  15 Jun 2005
This is KitKat (I didn't name him) http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a101/neuroticnovice/IM000123.jpg

Kitkat is the Knight of Swords. He's swift, active, courageous and almost never looks before he leaps.

This is Max :)

The emperor - because he rules and gets nasty if i do not do what he says.

HIS laws are law in this house, so if i do not get up at 6.30, the clutter I left on my table the night before goes to the floor.

If i still don't listen, he starts shredding plastic bags (how DOES he find them, exactly? I always make sure there is none in reach :P )

Elven I saw your pics well before... a pity you took them out again!

Hi NeuroticNovice!!

My cat is just like yours!!!

The same color, everthing.

She´s Maria, she is very young, one year and half, but she is a lot crazy.

Since january she already had 6 periods of rutting. This is normal?

I never had a female cat before, so i dont know if she have a problem.
I think that is not normal.
if this continue this way,she will have 12 ruttings only at 1 year.

She is not very smartbut she play a lot.
I cant put one foto here because i loaned my foto machine.

But is exectly like yours.

Thankyou for sharing these pictures of your pets - I am the biggest animal lover.

I have 2 dogs - Lucky is a very sensitive and loyal dog - I think that he would be the Knight of Cups - he is beautiful, I have had him since he was 6 weeks old.

Spottee, is a very, very, naughty dog - he never obeys - he is always making trouble and in some kind of mischeif - he also has a habit of destroying things - but he is so lovable that you can't be mad at him. I think that he would be the knight of wands or even the Magician - he could also be the sun - because he has such a sunny and energetic personality.

I have a cat - Pepper, she is black and fluffy - I would say that she is the queen of cups - she is also sensitive and very caring.

I wish that I could share some photo's but I'm sure that I don't have any on my computer.

So thanks for sharing yours, I enjoyed looking at them :)

Well, Cordy is very regal so she must be a Queen. She likes home comforts - good food, lying on the sofa, being with family - and she is always in contact with the earth - nose down, breathing it in, tail in the air, never happier than when she's in the great outdoors. So she must be the Queen of Pentacles:

Next we have Oscar, the Knight of Pentacles. He patrols the neighbourhood but never goes too far and you can set your clock by him because he's always home for meals. He sticks to his favourite spot at the top of the stairs to sleep and likes having his cheeks scratched (not sure whether the Kn of P likes having his cheeks scratched but I'm sure he must!)

Finally, we have Church, who hasn't been home for over a year now but he's still my boy :) He's the Knight of Wands - the traveller, the adventurer. Old enough to want to see the world but young enough to still need his mum when he gets back, usually after suffering some mishap ;) He has a certain swagger...

So that's my lot :)

..........be back with some real pics and my story soon

Eco74  18 Jun 2005
I have sooooooooooooooooo many pictures...
And since there are so many pictures, there are quite a few possibilities for cards there aswell.

First out, here is a Knight of Wands.
Speed, curiosity and a certain affinity for distraction and quick action, even when he's really busy with something else that was very interesting indeed just a second ago.. "Just have to check that thing..."

Currently in the process of looking for a perfect Eight of Wands pic I know I have somewhere. Just have to locate it in the archives..

sagewriter  18 Jun 2005
I'm afraid I don't yet know the meanings of the tarot cards very well yet :(

Maybe if I show and describe my pet, people can give me some ideas?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v179/sagewriter/noos.jpg

She is called Nuala, and is 9 years old, a german shepard cross.

She believes she is human, and has a very high opinion of herself, she thinks she is above me and my brother. As you can see by the expression on her face, she is amused by nothing!! She is very, very intelligent, so we have to keep her mind busy, as she cant get "depressed".

She is beginning to get arthritis, and wraps my step-dad round her little claw by completely acting up around him, pretending to be all stiff, then slowly walking up to him, wagging her tail. She is so sneeky!

Any ideas?

Simone  19 Jun 2005
Is Nuala the Magician, sagewriter? sounds to me that she has this kind of charming, deceptive personnality ;)

sagewriter  19 Jun 2005
simone: i had a little read up of the magician, and it does sound like her!

thanks :)
