Daily Readings....AM? PM?

In a recent post in another categorie, I asked for help with my "Reader's Block". I was wondering if the time of day you do your Daily Readings affects your ability to interpret. Most people I have met do their Daily pulls in the AM to get an idea of how their day will go. Does anyone do it in the evenings to reflect and understand the days events? I am more of a night person and I was thinking that maybe I am too tired in the AM to recieve info properly. In the evenings, I am more relaxed and awake. What do you all think? Does AM or PM make a difference?

Hi, If the night works better for you go for it. I too am night person and definately not my best in the mornings. You could do a reading for the next day, then sleep on it and have the whole next day to see what the cards are showing you. Just my thoughts, Jane

I prefer to do my daily draw in the evenings, cuz then I can reflect on what has happened durinmg the day, sort out my head a little, and thus go to sleep with a quiet mind. (I used to suffer from that horrible thing where I just couldn't get to sleep cuz things from the day were running through my head...) Although sometimes I don't have time in the evenings, so I will do it in the morning and look back on it some other time... Kiama

You should do readings whenever they work 'best' for you. Obviously, in the a.m. when you have lunches to pack and kiddies to get on buses is not conducive to getting a good reading! In some long-lost book somewhere, I remember it once saying that the best time to do psychic work (with no explanations as to why, exactly) is the time you were born. For me, that would be 2:55 a.m. Once again- if your birth time is while kiddies are getting on the school bus...you should reconsider this discussion.

I enjoyed all the discussion on this thread. Basically, I agree with y'all...it's really a matter of what works best for the individual. I was born at 2:14 pm. Do you think my principal would let me take off from 2:14 until 3:00 when the kiddos leave so I could do my daily reading? hehehehe I guess I'll have to rethink that discussion (except for maybe weekends, holidays, winter & spring breaks, and summer vacation). :D I can see that during summers, winter break and spring break, around 2 pm actually is a good time for me to do that type of work. For me this is a very peaceful time of day, yet I have plenty of energy. It's great for "me work". Maybe I'm in the wrong profession. I like to stay up late and sleep in (but I have to get up early during school); I love to to spiritual and personal work in the afternoons, but I haven't had a boss yet that would care for that habit. LOL! I'd sure miss my students, though. :) I think perhaps for work days, doing the daily reading at night for the following day, sleeping on it, and reviewing it the next evening would suit my night owl behavior. I tend to sleep until the very last minute. ;) I'm exceptionally slow moving in the mornings, and whenever I try to do something like this in the mornings, I just don't get much out of it...if I even manage to get up in time to do it. LOL I'd not heard about the birthtime option before. It's very intriguing. I'll have to try it on days I'm not teaching. Jimilyn
