Am I upside down??

Hi All, I just started reading for myself. and I need to know if the cards are getting turned upside down by accident. When I read for someone else, I take the cards from them left hand to left hand, lay them down (face down) and flip them bottom to top so the cards are in the same directions the reader would have laid them down in. When I read for myself, I tried this and things didn't look right. Should I be laying them down (face down) and turning them like a book? or should did I just get a confused reading. Any thoughts..I know it's supposed to be "your way" but some suggestions would help. Thanks all. cj

Hello, sorry, I think it is really "your way". When I am reading the cards I dont do most of things that are told to be so important; I dont concentrate a lot while shuffling, dont care which hand takes them, turn them round if they come upside down, sometimes put cards back that fall out, sometimes not, there is no silk around the cards, andandand. I tread my cards as a very close friend; where the relationship is not formal, not complicated, and also is a relationship that knows forgiveness; as I think the cards know me quite well and I dont have to do all that fuzz around them. :-) Dont get me wrong; that is just my way, nothing there is right or wrong. Dont think too much about all this. Just do as you feel it is right for you. And if it is not, then just change. Your cards will always understand you and your question. Greetings, Kimon

If you do it that way, you're positive not to change the orientation of the card as pulled from the deck. My two cents....

I always turn the cards side-to-side like flipping pages in a book; then too, I also seat the client next to me, not across from me, so they can see the cards from my perspective.
