Bigger Issues?

Hi. I was wondering if anyone ever used their cards for insight into 'larger-than-life' issues such as world affairs, war, etc., instead of purely personal matters or the personal matters of friends, family, or clients? If so, how's the accuracy going? Any problems trying this?

oooh, great project, diana. keep us posted. i haven't done much reading about world affairs of late, but i did a lot of it when i was first beginning with tarot. i never kept records in those days, so alas i don't know how accurate my readings were. you've got me curious now. :) i might start up again. btw: these would be great fodder for the "your readings" section of the forum, as everyone would have similar levels of knowledge about the situations and would therefore be better able to help interpret. fun!

but i don't know kristen dunst well enough to ask when she will marry me :O) jkng eheh however this post does have a purpose we are trying this in a spur of a moment post made by malachite yet it hasn't been followed up upon the last three weeks i am giving it time to see who is still interested. basically it goes like 1. we try to divine where to send the light by tarot reading 2. we lay out the cards in a certain matter 3. then we send light (reiki people will send reiki) eheh we are curretnly organizing how it works still

Thanks for the replies, all. Usually people talk about their private readings, but I haven't really seen anyone discuss this aspect for Tarot. I'm just starting to do 'world-issue' reads & will begin to keep a journal to see how it goes.

I did a reading like this just once After 11 september i was really worried about a third world war so i asked the cards Luckely they did reasure me But i dont now how i would have reacted if the cards did predict this war. So i'm with Diana here, to be really honest i'm not sure if i could handle such information. Love and light Maan

Maan, I did two readings to check on the war situation specifically as it pertains to America & both times received encouragement. The readings showed a troubled period followed by a nascent/potential for contentment on both physical & spiritual planes. Granted, these readings were not that in-depth, but I was reassured both times. To tell you the truth, I was a bit surprised and still question the reads in the face of all the negativity that is being thrown about these days. I don't know if I actually set up the reads right; they were more 'spur-of-the-moment' readings, so I may go back & re-do this on a day I feel particularly receptive & see what comes of it.
