The other day I was driving home. I'm driving down this street that dead-ends into our state's capital, so the drive always feels important somehow. All of the lamp-posts along the street have American flags on them, hailing the fourth of July (a big deal here in America) and the wind is whipping the flags, making that "fresh laundered bedsheet sound". I'm driving in my car, full of contentment, when I realize I am in the 6 of wands. And I look around me, and sure enough, flags everywhere, cheering me!
I felt like I had jumped into the Tarot Universe.
This has happened to me before. Some of the cards in my Celtic Wisdom deck show a woman standing by ravens, trees, etc., and one day while walking, about 3 crows were at the corner of the block, near some trees, and as I walked by I swear I just jumped right into one or maybe a combination of these cards!
Has anyone else had similar universe-traveling experiences? It just makes me understand the cards better when this happens, and I so hope it will happen with all of the cards!

Unfortunately, I have had the 9 of swords happen - to the point of looking identically like the card (except I don't have 9 swords on my walls ;)).

When you really get in touch with the Tarot it does react with every day reallity...It is primarily a bridge between our conscious and subconscious and sometimes that difference is breached... It makes its self felt...sometimes when you least expect it..treasure these experiences :TMAGE

What a fascinating event , napaea!
The closest I've come was soon after I started re-learning the cards. I went to an antique mall, and and all over the place I saw the symbols of the tarot. A framed photo of the pope became the Heirophant, a trophy-shaped garden pot overflowing with greenery became the Ace of Cups, etc.
It was a little like stepping into a different world that had obviously been there all the time.
Of course, I think we all participated in a Tower experience on 9/11- it's not very often you get to feel the full meaning of a tarot card on a scale like that. Let's hope the next one is Temperance.
Maybe the universe was giving you it's 6 of Wands approval, and a nice compliment !

I felt this too - so strongly I changed the Tower card in Major Tom's tarot.
I often find situations/people in 'real' life reflecting the archtypes illustrated by tarot cards.

i once watched a group of five boys (ages 9-15) sparring with long padded sticks. they weren't on teams or playing by any rules, just generally whacking each other and each other's sticks. i turned to my friend mary and said "look! it's the 5 of wands." we smiled. :)
