Hi Everyone -
Have any of you gotten two cohesive, separate but related stories in one reading? The reading i did today made sense from two different aspects. I accepted this and have learned to allow the cards to speak as they will. It opened wonderful opportunities! I suppose no reading - like humans - can be taken from one perspective. Life is complex as is our insight.

Indeed I just did a reading for Lawguy... he asked me to do one for either his love life or career or both. At the end I tried to work it out on his love life, but the spreading could be read for both ;)

Isn't it great when that happens? :)
With practice, it happens all the time...

Yep, this has also happened to me sometimes but I am not so fond of getting 2 in 1 readings as they are often confusing for the querent.

I often find htis when a querent asks for a reaidng about a certainevent in hteir life. Often I find that what happens is I get th info about the event itself, but then I also get info about the querent's INNER life at th esame time, cuz they boht kinda tie in together...
It does make it difficult sometimes htough, esp. when you have to try and work out which cards are referring to which part of the querent's life!

'Lo all,
Was tickled by finding this description in a library book on ancient civilizations the other day: "The River Nile is, in a sense, one-dimensional. It has length, but no breadth."
But life, as January observed, is not like that, but "is complex, as is our insight.".
So it is with a Tarot spread. I think Major Tom is spot on in saying, "With practice, it happens all the time."
Its gotta be rough for catlin and Kiama, who are reading for other people. I'm imagining a querant doesn't want complexity when they ask, "Will I find true love, will I get a new job . . . etc." They want a Magic 8-ball answer. A rune comes floating out in the inky depths and says "yes" or "no" or "buzz off." (Oops, better not tell the querant that one!)
So, still remaining in complete agreement with Major Tom, I think whatever spread you use should contain the question. Not necessarily the one being asked, but the one being answered.
And life (and insight) has ten thousand complexities a minute -- all drawing compound interest. Otherwise, you could just lay out a lifetime spread on Monday, read it, and have done with it forever.

Under starlight beams,
But at one hundred miles an hour
Let me dream my dreams.
Ford machine!

LOL why should i be offended ^_^i bow to the greatness of your poetic skills... though i'd prefer a skyline 2000. heehee *grabs herself and pushes back onto the topic*
I believe this frequently happens and sooner or later you will get a 2 in one reading... and i agree.. most of it comes when a querent asks about a certain situation.

I have seen this occur often. The cards lend themselves to a multi-level view so the concerns relate to more than one aspect of the life--such as simultaneously dealing with personal & career/business; or spiritual & relationships.
