I am not altogether sure I get what the method consists of...
There really is not enough at least for me to get what you refer to...
Would you mind exanding and elaborating more?
I see something similar to Holmes's elucubrative new method though... *raises shields up, light saber armed*
*LOL*

ah the only marleises i had was called the classic tarot back in the early tarot studies of my mine. so
1. is the fool considered the 22 card here ? like at the end ?
2. does this apply only to the spread you using? or any spread ?
3. the techquie can be used in reversed example
13,, instead of subtracting from 22, add 13 plus 22, makes 35 makes 8. :O)
so you get two cards for your death death card stenght and hermit. and if you take a parral number
13 =23
23 makes 5,
so by that the one number 13, you get hermit ,, strenght ,, and heriphant, although i think the mariles has justice instead of strenght.
so does add too many outside cards or clarify things i dont know ,, just what i was thinking of the question

Hi all.
This idéa is interesting indeed, but I ponder at one aspect of it: You always get the same 'answer'-cards to the same 'problem'-cards, in that the Lovers will always be the advice to the Tower. And will the Chariot always be the best approach to a Death 'problem'? There will be situations where love or contemplation will be the better solutions, won't it? Hm.

OK... how is that possible?? A minor technical error on the page? How could my post end up before Jenny-Li's when I read her first and then replied??

Being back from the Lurker's Shadows, I will begin by making things more complicated for you, poor Diana... ;)
I like this idea, and I think I understand it - but what about the situations where you get a "good" card in a "bad" positions, or a "bad" card in a "good" position... Is there a variation for that? Or does the Lovers still "come to the rescue" if I get the Tower say in the "Supporting energies"-position (or whatever) in a spread?
Light and love,
Jenny the Lurker ;)

Is your computer still on Daylight savings time? (=sommartid) That often screws things up at least the first couple of days after the shift...!

Well... The Tower will always be more problematic than say, the Sun, won't it? If you don't see it that way, I'd really love to hear more about it.
Sure, the Tower makes way for new truths, but it's a hard thing to go through, while the Sun, while it may burn you if you stay there for too long, taken in moderation it is still a lovely source of light and energy = positive. Of course no cards are ALL good or ALL bad. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough... and you don't have to answer at all if you find the question irrelevant. It's not important.

I thought a little about this idea and my conclusion is...
That I prefer to DRAW a clarifying card from the 77 cards remaining or less depending on the spread.
In truth, even though I understand the passage from one card to the advice/help I cannot see WHY that card is THE HELP I can use. I don't see where the claryfing/helping part of the matter stems from. *LOL*
And as other said above, there will be ONE help to each card... and I don't think that everytime I am faced with a Tower-like situation, for example, the best way to handle it is ALWAYS a Lovers attitude.
I think I prefer the idea of "asking" for a claryfing card to my loved deck. And possinly one out of the 70-something cards remaining from the spread.
P.S. Diana, I think you should take the train to Naples all the same! *LOL*

Hi,
I've noticed that there's another thread about which card representing you, using yr birthdate.
I was thinking ,can this be applied using your method, that is,
let's say I'm Card 5-Hierophant.(what I Am)
22-5=Card 17=The Star (potential)
Thanks! :D

Thanks Diana! What a wonderful way to gain more insight and understanding. Thanks for posting the formula! I hope I'll have time in the future to try it out. :)
