Anyway, i was going through my booklet to see how the meanings had changed and I came across something I don't know what it means..What is the preemptory postion? It lists 3 positions, upright, reverse, and preemptory. I have no idea what this means and am cconfused!!! Please help!!

I'm estimating that this means a card that crosses another, like the second card in the Celtic Cross. When something is preemptive, it is blocking something, because it comes before that thing.

please forgive me for laughing. the discussion of this deck and positions is just too hilarious.
preemptory: 1. To appropriate, seize, or take for oneself before others.
2. To gain possession of by prior right or opportunity, especially to settle on (public land) so as to obtain the right to buy before others.
that is according to dictionary.com
