i just asked this question to a person i've exchanged some readings and information with: "here's something you/we might do: now that you have the cards i drew for you (and the spread/meanings given to/for the positions) how would YOU have read that; read the cards and their positions, if it were for someone/anyone else?!?"
the idea would be to do a "blind reading," first, w/out exposing the spread, not the cards drawn or positions, etc., give the reading, then, when that's completed, the person does there OWN "synopsis" re it!
it'd be one way of "getting out of one's self;" of practicing how to be "open" when doing personal readings . . . make sense?
i'd love to hear what everyone thinks!

This sounds a little like some of the theories behind "gestalt tarot" which I have admittedly not studied yet. I think it could be fun and educational for all evolved, but there will always be people who come to the tarot reader to give them answers on a silver platter, like it was just that easy.
