Hi!
I just received the Lotus Tarot course, lesson 4 in the e-mail. It covers the Minors, and in the introduction it says that the minors can be used separately for a reading, or in reading with the full Tarot-deck.
Now, I've heard of Majors-only-readings, and that seems pretty logical to me, but I have actually never heard of anyone reading with the Minors only, so I got a little curious.
Has anyone of you done this, and what were your thoughts about it? Tell me, tell me, tell me! *curious*
Light and love,
Jenny :)

Reading with just the minors only is pretty much the same thing as reading with ordinary playing cards, with one extra card in each suit that is. No biggie at all; take out the majors and try it! The experience can be really fun for a change. :o)

I have never tried to read with just ordinary playing cards - I'm so happy with my Tarots... :D But I'm curious, I suspect one would get more... mundane answers, less spiritually oriented focus. Is that so? Would you recommend it for any special types of readings?
Very often I find I relate more to the spiritual spectre of the reading, both when I read for others, and when I reflect on cards I have drawn for myself - perhaps that is why I'm not really sure I'd like to take out the Majors, which are very much (to me at least) cards for the "spiritual sphere"...
Just thinking out loud here...!

Yes, those readings get very mundande and practical, but as a pro reader I pretty much depend on those kind of readings. People usually come to me for 'worldly' advice, and therefore they like getting these 'down-to-earth'-types of readings. Allthough I often try to combine and balance these two aspects.
On the other hand, to make a short reply to your second question, you can get very mundane readings by using the majors. And if you prefer the spiritual sort of readings you can get those with playing cards as well. It all very much depends on your personal focusing point. :o)
