Readings that won't work on one person

There's this girl I know who is originally from Bulgaria (Spelling?) and whenever I try to do a tarot reading about her, I always get the strength card, followed by the two or the ten of cups, and the rest of the cards I lay down contradict, make no sense, and to me on the intuitive level I feel a complete blank like I'm being blocked. (And most of my reading is intuitive) I've tried looking at the meaning of the strength card and the 2 and/or 10 of cups and... well... I'm puzzled, especially with the intuitive blocked feeling. She told me once she has a Romanian Grandmother who may be interfering. Something else that's more recent that may trip me up is I kind of like her and I'm thinking about asking her out. :| (But I started trying to read her before I felt this way) Anyone have insight?

Well if this happened more than once, with the same cards (which is how I interpret your post) I'd say there's definitely something there. If you try to go round the block, and turn to the "book interpretations" of the cards, and bring in HER in the reading. Explain to her what the traditional interpretation might be, and start a reasoning with her. Be honest about your block and tell her that you will have to work together on this issue to get around that blocking. If you then start with some way of interpreting, things might strike a chored with her, and you can take it from there. It's probably what I would have done. Good luck! Light and love, Jenny :)

An interfering Romanian Grandmother - WOW! Gypsies??? First - I am not sure if someone can actually 'block' you personally. Not to say that there aren't threads here about magickal doings, but she would have to be doing something VERY specific to be blocking 'just you'. Perhaps she has some kind of blanket 'protection spell' surrounding her grand daughter and this is one of the things that is affecting you. As Alice once said 'Curiouser and curioser...' Perhaps you should do some readings to see if the block is within you or from and outside source.

Teranar, what a wonderful opportunity…I would love to read for her! WOW! I would do a brief reading for “Granny”. IF there is a blocking, address it! Don’t run and hide, shield, or whatever…address it! Come to terms, , make peace. It could be that your Bulgarian friend (Granny or no) is just very well looked after, and neither of you are addressing those doing the looking after…and you will not do a good, accurate, or sensible reading, until you have acknowledged them.

It's funny you should mention this because the Strength + 2/10 Cups brought to mind, simply, "a very strong and inevetable attraction." I wondered how this might relate to her...and then you said what you said here at the end of the post. You want to know what's really going on? Everytime you sit down with her, you read for YOURSELF, not her. The cards don't want to read for her--they want to flag you and get you to pay attention. They want to give YOU a message about you and her. Next time, read them for YOURSELF. The cards won't stop till they get the message across. Once you read it for yourself THEN ceanse/clear the deck by: 1) Shuffling at least 9 times. 2) Envisioning the cards enveloped by a brilliant white or violet light, that burns bright then slowly fades. Then try to read for her. That is, if you still want/need to after having read for the two of you with that first reading. Good luck!
