How do you define the Eight of Pentacles in the Spiral Tarot? I'm not sure what to make of it...

I just view it as the Rider waite smit card. the image is almost identical.
Do you have the book that belongs with the spiral?
If not i can type what the book says. If that would help you.

I wish I could say something profound, like it depicts Vulcan at the forge or something like that...the only difference really with the RWS card, is the toasty fire burning in the background and a clearer indoor workshop scene. but oh well. The toasty fire suggests the inner fire, the brain synapses crackling when one creates, -- the outer stillness belies the rousting inner activity.

I have the spiral deck...is there a book, other than the LWB that came with it, geared specifically towards this deck? If so I was unaware of it. Thanks, :)

Maan, do you mean the book by Kay Steventon? It'd be great if you typed the description for me... I'm rather puzzled ;).
Angelwhispers: there is indeed a book written by the Author of the deck, which is about the deck...

Hi, Athara!
This is a deck where it certainly does help to have the book, if only for the Majors as it goes into great detail which the LWB doesn't match at all. It says much less on the Minors - some descriptions only being a few words longer than the LWB.

LouiQ is right its just a little piece of tekst..so here i go
" A highly skilled and succesful smith is working at his craft. This card indicates profitable times ahead when you can use your skills to your advantage. The eight of pentacles is usually connected to money and career matters; however, its meaning can be applied to any area of life where you need to be skillful. Sometimes this card comes up when a person has "too many fingers in too many pies" and there is a need to focus talent. The card could also be suggesting that it's time to take your skills out into the wider world"
well thats it
I hope this helps!
