Daily Cards

Today while I was picking the Daily Card, the Five of Swords appeared. Though I always pick a card everyday, I'm not very sure what's the usage of it.

Is it used to tell what will happen today or someone that will directly affect me?

As I got the Five of Swords, does it mean I will be sneaky and might even steal something today?

Butterfly  07 Apr 2003
I see seven swords more as sneaky and stealing, while I see 5 swords more as someone using an unfair advantage, or power over someone. It's up to you to decide whether you have the unfair advantage or if the other person does.
It all depends on the question that you ask for your daily spread as to what it's telling you. Do you ask for the energy of the day, significant event, advice? There are so many questions to ask. What did YOU ask though?

NeXoRiouS  07 Apr 2003
Oh, I'm sorry, I typed wrongly, it was supposed to be Seven of Swords.

Well, I did not have any questions in mind, I was just picking a card so as to know what will happen today.

Anyway, if there has been no questions posed, what will the cards mean? Does it represents what I am thinking at that moment I revealed it?

Butterfly  07 Apr 2003
As you didn't ask anything, perhaps it was the most important thing that you need to know at the moment.
Is their a need to defend yourself at the moment? Is someone taking something of yours, or being sneaky with you?

NeXoRiouS  07 Apr 2003
What do you mean most important? So if I didn't have a question in mind, the result will be bogus?

Anyway, I don't have anyone taking anything from me, nor even trying to be sneaky with me. I'm all at home, what could happen?

NeXoRiuoS: I often find that the Tarot only shows us th epossible future, if we continue going down the path we are currently on. If we suddenly change path, we change the possible future. Therefore, you could have drawn the 7 of Swords whilst going down one path, but when you drew it, you unconsciously avioded going down that path cuz you were afraid of what you might do (EG Stealing) so you changed paths.

I find that daily cards either tell me about something that will happen that day, or my feelings, even really trivial things, though soetimes I just draw cards which I study for the day.

Ok, thanks for your advice, I will definitely apply this to my daily reading.

Just a quick thought.

The Seven of Sword is also from my experience in daily cards a card that indicates doing useless things.

After all the Seven of Swords is the Lord of Futility (said by someone....... sorry I can't quote, I wanted to post a link on this but I am not on my computer and don't have my links).

Just my two cents.

"Lord of futility" Sounds like angelpaths.com .......She/he seems
to give these kinds of titles to alot of the cards.

7 swords ? Question your motives and look at the course you are currently on . Do you really want to be there ? What makes you feel so sure of success ? If there is an obstacle , and you
KNOW there is an obstacle , are you ignoring it ? It isn't likely to go away , so re-think.

To tell the truth, my everyday life is like seven of swords.

Hi NeXoRious,

Looking at this very much in retrospect... with the timing of your posting here, along with your discussion in the thread on plagiarism, I wonder if your card (7 of Swords) might just have been about that? This was about the time that you getting more involved in the discussion on topics of plagiarism, freedoms, etc in that other thread, was it not? Your first posting in that thread was on March 3, your second posting on March 7, you posted that you drew the 7 of Swords on March 6. This was just about the time that discussion was really getting going. Plagiarism is one of the things I almost always think of when I think of the 7 of Swords. I just find the timing of these two threads rather interesting... as I said... in retrospect.

A brief excerpt from my notes on a 7 of Swords card I designed: "You are trying to make off with something which is not yours. Alternatively, being the victim of such an occurrence. Plagiarism. Piracy of software, music, etc. Taking credit for work which is not yours." Somewhat appropriate to the other discussion... Just a thought which had occured to me...

Somewhat true by the way u interpreted it. To think even small details are to be taken into account carefully. Maybe the cards are telling me I should handle things appropriately including discussing. Thanks.

... Or, perhaps the card was just pointing out that you would be getting involved in the discussion. But there are pitfalls to watch out for, with looking at these things in retrospect....
