In a number of readings reagarding relationships (using the circle spread 1= querant 2 = mental 3 =relationship 4= creative 5 = action 6 = emotional 7 = subconscious 8 = practical 9 = inner strenghth) I have gotten The World card in the subconscious position ( once surrounded by the knight of discs in the emotional aspects and king of cups practicle matters
and again with the empress in emotional aspects and the star in practicle matters - same relationship
What could The World card mean in the subcoscious position of a relationship reading?

It's not an answer, but it's a question on the same lines...
My understanding of the World itself is very abstract... like the point where everything ends and beginds.. a coming together.
But again as you, in relationship spreads I don't know how to understand this, especially when it comes out as the outcome
So, if anyone helps out, could u please elaborate a bit on the world as an outcome for a relationship?

in this context - it seems to stand for success - of everything coming together. completion. perhaps you are looking for something that is already under your nose???

XLCR, i look at the world card as a saturn card, ruling capricorn and a secondary ruler of aquarius, so this is where im coming from without knowing the question. the world here may show that schooling or carreer is top priority right now and taking the bulk of energy to deal with maybe forcing romance or issues of commitment to the background. also would show people to whom a place in society (making a contribution) is important and a partner would need to be a person who you relate to intellectually, someone having a 'world' view or special cause, passion or carreer commitment. also partners would need to give the other the freedom to pursue these ideals, while providing a safe 'home' (knowing the other will be there) when ready to return.

It's interesting to me that in both cases the "Practical" was very dreamy while the "Emotional" was very Earthy and, well, practical. Knight of Disks, for example, would indicates that you're working hard and dilligently at emotional aspects. Similarly Empress--you're tending to the emotions very carefully, getting them to grow slowly, nurturing them. A lot of work and focus, which is good--but not a lot of ROMANTIC investment. And while there is creativity--there's very little...surrender or freedom, no wild abandon. Especially with the knight of Disks who organizes things and tidies them up. Emotional aspects can't be made neat and tidy, but this is what you seem to be doing (I'm assuming here, that you're the querent?).
King of Cups in practical is not so good--it indicates too much emotional envestment in practical matters. I assume practical matters are just getting every day things done--and you don't want to waste the King of Cups on that. Similarly, the Star--which indicates visions of a wonderful future--why waste that on practical, everyday matters? Unless you're dreaming of a day when the mortgage is paid off?
So what is the subconscious World telling you? Very simply, something YOU already know: TURN THINGS AROUND!
That's what the subconscious is all about--things you already know, but need to bring to the surface and make real. The King of Cups and the Star should be given to Emotional aspects--outpourings of love and faith in the future--enough faith that you can, like the King of Cups, give yourself totally, entirely, freely, without hesitation or reservation. The Empress and the Knight of Disks especially should be given to practical matters--quiet, dilligent focus.
It's not, mind you, that you're completely wrong in the Emotional aspect--emotions need to be tended and patience is a very good thing. If this relationship were an arranged marriage, then these cards would be excellent--indicating the growth of love like flowers up a trellis or a bonzai--taking a long time but there in the end. But if this is the usual type of relationship, where love comes drop after drop till it starts to fill and overflow a cup--then the last thing you want is one of the partners saying: "I'm on a Love schedule here. This week, we progress to this point. If we get too far, I'll have to nip us back, otherwise we'll over grow my trellis....".
The World indicates wisdom, knowledge, and seeing the whole picture. Your subconscious sees this. Now your conscious must as well.

well if I said this is something like an arranged marriage would you understand? My tarot has been telling me this guy and I would have a very good relationship since the first time we met and well...I think he is aware of this also so I feel a push to get on with it but no romanticism - so I am somewhat uncertain. He is very practicle down to earth (like the knight of pents which usually represents him) and verrrry patient. I think I need to take your (my tarots advice) and have "faith in the future--enough faith that you can, like the King of Cups, give yourself totally, entirely, freely, without hesitation or reservation."
Thanks again Thirteen - more light shed : )
