hi all,
someone help please...
i keep asking my cards : am i going on the right track to get my A for this really really tough paper i will be having tomorrow.
then i was pretty worried about my progress cos i put a lot of effort in it.. so i kept asking my cards the above question today... i got 9 swords for both times i asked....
and oh, by the way, my daily reading for yesterday was 10 swords (*sob*) and for today, its 8 cups....
or do u think its telling me tat the paper is really tough.. so forget about scoring? or ?????
do u guys think it's because i have been paranoid that i wont do well that's why i got the card?
thanks for helping me to decipher...

The impression I get most from the 9 of swords is that of mental self-defeat. There is no actual defeat yet, but you are telling yourself that you can't win, and it may soon become a self-fulfilling prophesy. Take out your Hermit and your High Priestess and meditate! You will find the answers! Good luck on your paper.

I agree with jlbvt, and the 10 of Swords says that you may have things wayy out of proportion and are overcatastrophising. Start visualising success. It's in your hands, you have done what you can with work and a positive mental attitude is now essential. Deep breaths, it is down to you to make the most of things.

today's reading 10 wands...
verdict of the paper: it's really tough! all the questions that have never come out got to come out in this paper that i happen to sit for.
Can't say i screwed it totally. I did the best i can but like today's reading.. it's really a big burden.
maybe 9 swords is saying : i will be upset when i see the paper... and 10 swords is like saying : it's a paper that can't be any worse...
i cant say this interpretation is accurate.. hey i am just a novice wat do i know?? but yeah.. will continue to improve my readings so that i can be as good as u guys out there...

More likely it's saying that, yes, the papers WAS scary, but you blew it's scariness way out of proportion, enough so that it kept you awake at night and ruled your life.
Now, 10 swords, it's over and done with. Nothing more you can do. The outcome is the outcome--it's dead, Jim.
And likely, after so much studying and mental work and anxiety, so is your poor, overworked brain ;)

Hi fellow countryman/woman. It's rare to find singaporeans here. Back to the topic.
Because you have always regarded it as a tough paper, you create an illusionary wall of stress and fear of failing. In fact, by asking the tarot, you did not find a solution to change the result. In stead you even panicked on what to do.
9 of Swords is merely telling you that you are currently in a mental breakdown and most likely your fear will come true. As what the tarot foretell is not set in stones, you should have calmed down and take everything easily - have a cup of tea and rest before studying.
Eventually when you got 10 of Wands, all comes crystal clear that you have been giving yourself the extra burden of worrying. When you start to worry and/or panick, all your thoughts will be scattered around hence depriving you of the ability to complete your paper with confidence.
Hence in future, whenever you see a "bad" result, don't flutter. Continue doing what you should do and follow the advice of the cards. It should serve you well as it did for me.

hey people,
just wanna say thanks for the advice.
now that i looked back and think through the paper..
haha.. still got to say its a tough paper and still got to say it has been stressful studying for tat darn paper..
and yeah, i think when i drew the cards, instead of sitting down and think through wat's it warning me about, i use it to reinforce my worst fears.
real bad practice! lucky there is this forum where people remind me wat i should not do. :)

Alexis, when you say studying for a "paper" does that mean, you are studying for an exam? Or that you are writing a "paper" = a thesis, and have to defend it before a jury?
Let us know how it turned out.

O'lvl chinese? Don't rely everything on tarot. Use your intuition and have some confidence in yourself.
